  1. Can't really speak for my a6 now as I have to change tyres due to age rather than mileage. However on my ford Kuga daily I was using continentals but wasn't happy with how long they lasted. I switched to Hankooks midrange roadstones and definitely last longer, a lot longer. I'm getting around 8-10k more miles out of them compared to continentals.
  2. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Nice couple of Audi's you have there 👍
  3. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice looking A6. I drive an old Audi which my dad bought new then passed to me. With older ones it's all about how well it's been maintained. Mines on 339k miles on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt. Second turbo mind, first blew at 75k. Anything mines needed it's had and has never missed a service in 20 years. Plus it's been on multiple road trips including to France, Belgium, nc500 and lands end to John O Groats. As well as doing track time at castle Combe and Santa Pod.
  4. They should have do e good will. But same thing happened to my dad with the c5 I now have. 3 days out of warranty and the turbo blew. Audi paid half of the repair.
  5. Id definitely speak to Audi. As I think it's done through the my Audi app as a guess.
  6. With any electrical faults especially if the car has electronic power steering it's worth getting the battery checked as a failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical issues.
  7. Have you had a diagnostic check carried out? It could be a wiring issue.
  8. Could you upload some pics of the corrosion. Either way I think you should t expect rust on a two year old car in today's day and age. Bare in mind if the garage repaint/sort the rust you will get 12 months warranty on the work carried out with a main dealer. Or you should do.
  9. I think the lights are also controlled by door pins. Which activate the lights when the doors are opened. These can fail over time.
  10. Exactly. Any stripping of a gearbox internals is very expensive.
  11. I'm sure I read a similar post that indicated that it becomes greyed out if the subscription has expired
  12. Good plan 🙂
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 if it's an SD card type then they can be bought off eBay.
  14. Have you got wet carpets?
  15. No probs at all. There's a similar one called breaker link which I've also used.
  16. Glad that's all it was 🙂
  17. I believe the version in your car is the revised version. I believe when they do an update on the part they change the letter. Hypothetically it should fit. Also bare in mind it might need coding to the car.
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Have a look in the search section for what you're looking for. Usually the roofs fail to open/close due to a failed pump or wiring. But sometimes it can be something as simple as something caught behind the rear seats preventing it from opening.
  19. This could be a module or sensor failure. Think you'll need a diagnostic check.
  20. Have you checked you haven't got any wet carpets? As I believe the CCM is under the passenger footwell. When it gets wet it causes All sorts of electrical issues.
  21. Yep it'll need programming to the car. I guess the cheaper alternative is an aftermarket upgrade. The prices of the genuine headunits is ridiculous.
  22. Has the garage looked at the spark plugs, coil packs, maf, camshaft sensors ect. These links might help: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/1-8-tfsi-error-code-p0304-misfire-p130a-cylinder-disabling.224701/ https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a3-1-4-tfsi-2013-cylinder-2-4-misfire-please-help.400579/
  23. You'll need to get it activated at Audi. Expect to pay around £500.
  24. I guess the £500 is like your standard aftermarket towbar which have been perfectly adequate for years. The.key questions you need to get answered is whether it's a fixed or detachable towbar. As well as if it's a swan neck type etc. I believe the genuine Audi ones are made by westfalia.
