  1. Hmm well I'm going to get straight and assume the boot is called the boot to put boots in. In the same way the glovebox is for gloves. Didn't the stripes originate from the early 60s AC Cobra?
  2. That's 2 of us then Ryan! I've not bothered with a club display as I've not had enough interest. If I get more interest then I'm happy to arrange the display. I'm more than happy to meet before hand and go to the show with you :) I'll add your name to the list :)
  3. Nice one George I'll add you to the list :) We have a pitch reserved and as we turn up and tell them what club we are part of they direct us to our pitch :) I have the club banner to make it more obvious for the public to notice the club :)
  4. Wow Ben, your a7 looks great :)
  5. You're welcome :)

Yes I believe so but don't quote me on that. Truthfully I'm not as clued up on the v6 as other models, sorry. Cheers Steve
  7. That's a great result! Glad it's all sorted and glad we could help :) Cheers Steve
  8. Hello Barry, sorry this topic hasn't been responded to yet. The garage had a wise decision that it was the ballast control unit. However as this is not the fault I would look at 2 other options before replacing the headlight which is costly. One of them is to get a diagnostic check carried out to see if any fault codes flag up. My other suggestion would be to speak to an auto electrician as clearly the light is working by one form or another and could be a bad earth or loose wire. Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve

Sounds about right, I thought it was 1000 miles to be honest. Cheers Steve

  12. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) If you want power definitely go for the 2.0tdi! I feel the 1.6 is under powered. My dad had one as a company car. Cheers Steve

I'm glad the garage have agreed there's a fault so let's hope they can sort it. Could you not take it to your mechanic friend with regard to the emissions light. If you can find the fault then you can inform the garage you bought it off for them to fix it :)
  15. This us what we really need lol 😂

Hi Ben, Your Audi will tell you when the adblue is running low this should include how many miles left as a warning message. Never let it run out completely as you may find the car won't start! This will be because the car doesn't want to cause damage to itself or the environment when you've run out. Cheers Steve
  17. I should imagine you should have it. Especially when the supplier has said it should have come with it. Have they offered to fit one for you? And if not then it's definitely worth asking the question. It's very unusual to find any new car that doesn't gave USB and aux connectivity these days. Cheers Steve
  18. Welcome to the forum Ben, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Glad you're pleased with your stage 2 improvements :) Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Michael, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The first thing I'd advise is a diagnostic check to be carried out. But my key question do the windows work with their respective switches on the doors or have you just tried them off your drivers side control? Cheer Steve
  20. Lol perfect use for quattro right there! 😂
  21. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The a4 allroad is a great car and you've gone for a good engine choice. Ideally the car your looking at should have full service history and by now the cambelt and water pump will due to be changed due to age if not mileage. It's worth checking to see if the car you're looking at has had the emissions recall. If it has and it's for sale shortly after this has been carried out then you have to question why. If it were me I'd avoid a VAG car that's for sale and has had the emissions recall carried out in the last 6 months just to be safe.heres a couple of threads which maybe useful: Also most allroads were automatics so make sure the gears change smoothly in auto and manual mode as faults can be expensive to fix. It's worth seeing when the gearbox oil was last changed. Obviously the allroad has Quattro and again it's worth making sure this is working as it should abd worth checking to see when the oil was last changed in this too. Quattro is a great system but can be sensitive to small changes that could cause damage. One example of this is mis-matched tyres on the same axle or uneven tyre wear. I've also found this YouTube video which maybe useful: Overall the allroad is a fantastic car and it'll be very useful for yku. Plus they have good resale values. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
  22. Not good! I'm going to a christening today where brioney and I are the god parents. However it doesn't look like it's going ahead as the minister can't get there and neither can the grandmother who has all the food for the party afterwards!
