So it's raining at the mo and at last I have some spare time... yes I must agree the roads around Ben Nevis are stunning. Seems every few seconds of travel is a picture from another planet. I could mention roads but in reality every road we traveled on to and around Fort William is so far away from the every day midlands scenery of my normal. We spent 9 hours traveling to Fort William in August and had 2 nights stay. The journey was with one goal... walk to the top of Ben Nevis. Both journey and climb was blessed with the best summer sun. The only issue we had was leaving Scotland so soon. So hopefully a return awaits next year.

Hi from Audi newbie
Hello and welcome to the forum Surj. Sounds like you have a nice low mileage car. The 2.0L TDI should have its cambelt changed every 5 years or as stated on your service schedule in your service book (normally 50k), whichever is sooner . I don't know about your other questions as I've only ever had A3s but someone should answer soon

Audi Complete care
Hi Ruben The varied interval service plan is up to 19k miles or 2 years. The on board computer will indicate when service is needed so I would say a service is needed every year if your doing 16k. Driving style and number of journeys will be a factor in the computers calculation. You will need to carry out the services for the 3 year Audi warranty.

Audi Complete care
Hi Ruben Yeah you got fixed service plan costs. Cam belt is recommended for change every 5yrs or 50k miles whichever is sooner. It's recommended that the water pump is changed at the same time. Clutch I'm not sure about though. I'm sure it's like the brakes as it wears in relation to your driving style. Only ever changed one clutch and that was on my old Escort at 100k miles. With that in mind you should look at how many miles the car has on it when you collect plus how many miles you will put on the car over how many years you will keep it. hope that helps Adam

Dpf filter
Hello and welcome to the forum Craig. DPF filters usually clog up due to short journeys not allowing the regen to work correctly. Mileage isn't really a factor it's how the engine has been run. Should the DPF warning light show then a simple procedure can be carried out to clear it so don't worry too much. Hope this helps 👍

key fob locking / opening
Hi Trik, Yes I'm not that far away from Birmingham. One of the keys to my last A3s central locking button stopped working. On handing the car over for part exchange I told the salesman. He said that it was a common problem with keys going out of sync and just needs reprogramming. Link might help you
