2020 Q5 55 TSFIe running for 3 days on petrol only & 0% battery (on holiday and no rechargers available). On start up 4th day got Drive System error warning message but proceeded with 45 mile journey. Car was generally OK by noticed it sluggish uphills and Power meter wouldn't go above 25-30% even in Sport mode. Also cruise control inoperable. Also Power Recuperating/Recovery meter didn't register when braking or decelerating (meter stayed at 0%). Noticed Charge level indicator was registering 50% halfway into trip and continued to rise until end of journey it was on 100%. On restarting car 4 hours later, it showed 100% Power Meter with 28 mile range (normal). Hybrid mode worked fine all the way home, power back to normal and Cruise Control working. Next day still all OK, no warning messages and 30% left in battery (Running mainly on Battery Save Mode). I understood Power Recuperating was only good for small %'age of battery reclaim during braking & deceleration so how is it possible I've recuperated 100% in 45 mile trip. NB - I've travelling 300+ miles since last mains recharge 6 days ago!!

Audi dealers are notoriously expensive when it comes to repairs. Have you tried a local garage/repair shop? I assume such places still exist in the USA.

Perhaps ask David Burch directly. https://www.allbiz.ch/dave-s-garage-041-670-33-18

It seems so Gareth, but you could send an email instead.

Welcome Connor. Most likely a sensor, but would need diagnostics to confirm, and if correct - indenting which one. Regards, Gareth.

What do I need when sourcing new headlight unit
Steve Q replied to Admprb's topic in Audi A3 (8V) Forum
You're best going off the part numbers -
The air suspension sensors can be recalibrated but I shouldn't think you'd need to do that with the work you've had done. https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/966127-C7-S6-Level-Sensor-Calibration

Morning Steve Q, Thank you for your quick reply! Yes, but i can only find spoilers for coupes, or the big rear wing types, which i don't want. I have seen the spoiler i want described as a duckbill spoiler. I have found a provider of the one in the image, but the supplier is in the USA and the shipping and import tax make it very expensive!

Hi there After much procrastinating I have decided on a Q5 (was also considering a GLC or volvo XC60) and will likely be going for a 2021 model as my budget is circa 拢30k. I intend to go for approved used as I am rather risk adverse and value the reassurance it provides. I am having real difficulty deciding which model and of course each salesman has a different take depending on what they want to get rid of. I am female mid 50s and would say I am a boring driver. I value comfort. I cannot say image is not important as if that were the case I would be purchasing a skoda, but it is not uppermost and I think the sport and s-line are both fine looking cosmetically. The s-lines from what I can see are 拢2k ish more (all other things being equal). So I am really wanting to understand, other than cosmetics, is there anything about the s-line that makes it a better car to drive or one that has better longevity. I have test driven an s-line and a sport but at different dealerships i.e. not one directly after the other which makes it hard to compare. At the time I had not realised they had different suspensions so was not looking out for any difference in smoothness etc and certainly cannot remember any, although the seats felt more supportive in the s-line. Any views re the differences other than cosmetics would be greatly appreciated, or views from anyone who has either model in terms of how you have found comfort and drive. it is very difficult to form much of a view from a test drive.

Not sure if YouTube link works above but this will help, it's literally under the glovebox behind the pollen filter towards left, like three screws and pull the connector and replace. I did that myself and just got the garage to program it like in the YouTube video.

Audi S5 (2017) - Which Shell oil to use?
Samurai_J4Y replied to westlondonsun's topic in Audi A5 Club
Hello, New around here, but I believe that the S5 uses VW 508.00 Spec oil. Although most oils will state VW 508.00 / VW 509.00 spec. Any oil with this spec should be fine for the S5 (B9). -
Hello. Just seen your post. I have had some luck with this website: https://www.catcar.info/audivw/?lang=en&l=c3RzPT17IjEwIjoiQnJhbmQiLCIyMCI6IkFVREkifXx8c3Q9PTIwfHxicmFuZD09YXV8fG1hcmtldD09UkRXfHxtZGw9PUE4MFEgfHxFcGlzPT03NHx8RWluc2F0ej09MTk5MXx8TWFpbkdyb3VwPT00fHxCaWxkdGFmZWw9PTM5OTMwfHxHcmFmaWs9PTAzOTkzMDE0MQ%3D%3D I used it before for 2004 TT parts and have used it recently for 1988 Coupe GT parts ref. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have an intermittent EGR insufficient flow fault occurring on my 3.0TDI Avant, bringing on the check engine light. Been happening on and off (and by off, I mean often seemingly clearing itself and the check engine light) since 2022. No loss of power or any other symptoms. Decided to sort it last month by having a TerraClean carried out at my local approved centre. Two cleaning attempts (including cleaning the EGR cooler off the car) AND a new EGR valve and vacuum solenoid valve later, I'm still getting intermittent EGR insufficient flow faults occurring AND the check engine light comes on and goes off without clearing the fault. Anyone experienced this before and have any idea what's causing this? Thanks Chris

Hi All, Interested to hear from other owners if they are having the same faults as we are with the Q6, yes we were one of the first in the country to have the Q6 but our fault list is long and nothing seems to be getting done to resolve them, interested to read if others have the same faults. I cleared 263 error codes, must check again. Our list is below, Unable to Start Vehicle Contact Workshop - This one left my wife stranded as would not do anything said had a major fault and to contact the workshop, closed car, waited a couple of minutes, entered car and issue not there anymore. Driver Aid System - multiple faults and warnings with flashing yellow and red symbols from not working to go to workshop faults, turn off, wait a few seconds, turn on and problem gone. Headlights sometimes do not come on when starting the car - Sidelights and Matrix high beam assist works but the dipped headlights sometimes do not come on and you have a black dark hole of lighting ahead of the side lights and then watch the Matrix high beam assist doing a dance ahead. Tailgate - Double press the remote button twice quickly or slowly makes no difference, boot will sometime open, open a few inches and close, open and stop meaning you have to push the boot shut by hand to get it to open again etc etc. Road Speeds - The camera based system ignores road signs and will put up anything, had it say 30 mph on a motorway, 70 mph on single lanes, when using cruise control it goes wrong as has wrong speeds ands either tries to slow you right down to a dangerous speed or speed you up to break the speed limit. Entertainment System - Sometimes works sometimes does not work, sometimes connects to the phone other times says no phone, no music and then music comes on at full volume. In Car Electronics - Forgets driver profiles, seat position, anything related to each setup on each persons name. Audi App - Sometimes connects to the car other times does not and shows error codes, does not send any notifications despite being setup correctly, reported over 6 months ago and just get the same e-mail once a week that they are trying to resolve the issues, app is upto date, removed installed makes no difference. Emergency Braking - car will do a random emergency brake at random times, pulling away from roundabouts when no one else is around, reversing into our driveway when your no where near anything. I am sure we are missing something but what are others finding?
