    Hello! 215000km. Also i think i hear the chain on warm engine after 30-40 minutes like small rattling for 1.1-2 seconds. My question is if its chain can i drive more km or it is immediately important to change it? Thank you!

    Would have a go, but keep reading it's a bugger to get at or is mine easier depending upon year, not sure. Is there anywhere on the forum that could help with that.

    Hi everyone I had the fun task of replacing all front control arms and the strut mounts on my 2011 Q5 TDI. This fixed the creaking noise I'd get when turning the wheel or going over humps. The problem I now have is that I have a slight grinding noise when turning the wheel. Just wondering if anyone can help me pinpoint the issue. My next steps are to review all the parts to see if I can ascertain what's going on. Please take a look at the attached video. Thanks in advance. 20241030_080309.mp4

    Put new a new oil pressure sensor in last night which seems to have fixed the problem. I also noticed my intake wasn't sitting properly on the turbo and was loose. Re-fitted everything and now I have no codes and the car isn't running lean anymore. thanks everyone for your help!

    Hi its doable but you will have to buy a new rear bumper, lower bumper trim and lose the existing rear box for the exhaust, all big money items the bumper skin itself is over £500 without the lower trim and new fixing brackets, can't see why you want to change it when you can't see it while you are driving and I am sure the driver of the car behind wont care either. Steve.

    You are unlikely to do so, and even if you do find one with a service history it will not be worth the paper it is written on. In my opinion you would be better served by buying a complete secondhand engine and have it reconditioned yourself, however that will not be cheap.

    Hi all, I’ve just installed aftermarket CarPlay, all is working but Siri. It shows the little animation as if Siri is talking but there is no sound. When I hold the voice command button on the steering wheel, it’s the Audi voice command but it does also activate Siri but again no sound. Siri works as expected on my phone just not through the CarPlay system. anyone had this?

    Your choice of course, but a little pot of paint would cost far less than a new piece of glass. Do let us know the outcome of whatever decision you make.

    How did you check the battery? A simple voltage test will tell you nothing about the real condition of the battery. It needs a deep discharge test, (i.e. a load of more than 200 amps rather than the few milliamps of a multimeter,) to simulate real conditions and reveal internal faults. If your battery is original there is a fair chance it is defective and responsible for the faults you noted.

    Welcome Nigel, You will need to quantify how much coolant is being used in how many miles. Probably stating the obvious, but top up to the max mark when cold, note mileage, check daily, and say top up again after one week - or less if loss is substantial. Can you see any evidence of pink coolant deposits anywhere, any evidence of drips on driveway, any signs of water emulsion in the oil? Kind regards, Gareth.

    Hi Gab When I had my A6 Avant I had a rear view camera fitted by Autologics. It was perfect. Plumbed into the MMI activated on selecting reverse no problems. Camera fitted it car, at home, on driveway, took the techy about 30 minutes. Wouldn't know anything had been done other than I now had a RV camera. Tony

    Wire breakage is common within that rubber bellows, usually on the driver's door as that gets the most use. Search the forum for other instances. Be glad it is only the speaker affected, it's often the door lock or the window.

    No it was a different Audi main dealer I just got the car back, the noise is a lot quieter now and the sound now starts from bout 40mph+. Where as before you could hear it from 20mph. Going to take it to another Audi tech. He said he’s gonna go through everything and try and diagnosed the issue

    At a guess It could be an injection issue or issue with an injection pump. The later needs coding to the car if you source a replacement.

    So what do you intend to do about it? In your position I would write a letter or email of complaint explaining the fault and demanding it be repaired. Do not use phone calls or text messages for that purpose. You need evidence that can be produced in court should it ever get to that stage.
