  2. Quick update: The car has been dropped off at the Audi garage to resolve this issue, the air-con button issue along with a free update to the braking system. They mentioned it’s a well-known issue reported by Audi HQ. Please check your car and contact your Audi garage asap!
  3. Morning all. New to the Audi clan as of Friday last week. A3 Sportback TDi Black Edition. Up to now, mostly satisfied. A few niggles, but nothing worth worrying about except Sonos system. Is it me, or is it a disappointment? I find it totally lacking clarity and depth of bass! Keep fiddling with it but not much improvement. Considering a remap at some point in near future. Is it possible ? Any recommendations? many thank in anticipation 😜
  4. New MAF sensor installed. Both fault codes cleared. Only problem will be how long the MAF sensor lasts this time. If anyone has any thoughts on where to fo with loom investigation that'd be appreciated.

  8. Thanks Colin, The handbook should give you choice which was available, but will not tell you what the car was fitted with at build. Just wondering why you want to know, and what the car is fitted with now. Regards, Gareth.
  9. Or just buy 5litres Quantum Longlife 3 which is VAG’s own brand. I never extend oil changes out to c18k or 18 months, but change it annually if you do an average mileage. Quantum is available from a number of reputable EBay sellers. 5 litres will allow you to have enough ‘top up’ oil for hopefully a couple of years. Regards, Gareth.
  10. Hi Magnet, I’ve now told them I’m not going ahead with the deal, due to the V5 not been correct, hopefully I’ll get my deposit back 🤔 so I’m now on the look out for a A1 born in the UK 👌
  11. Hi everyone, newbie here so sorry if this is an obvious question/answer. I have just purchased my first Audi (definitely not the last). I have a 2017 S line. When I open the car or turn the car on the ‘sidelight’ switch inside the illuminates and is permanently on. I have headlights with the little LED (I think it’s led) strip on them. My question is, is this light supposed to be on as when I put the switch to the off button (not auto) it still stays on? Any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you

  13. Hi everyone, First time poster here. I'm driving a 2021 A5 Sportback and am noticing a sharp plastic creaking sound coming from the glove box area when going over speed bumps or dips in the road. On occasions I also get this noise on the drivers side too. It's noticeably worse when the car is hot and have a feeling it's the piano gloss black plastic that sits above the door handle and also to the right of the steering wheel on the dash. When pushing it, it feels very brittle and makes a plasticy sounding creak which is the noise I think I'm hearing. This is my second car of the same model and both cars did it. Does anyone else have the same issue or know what the fix could be? I've attached some photos of the offending areas. Any advice would be great. Thanks you!
  14. Thanks Gareth. Got some money back from dealer, using the diagnostic report as evidence. Did a dpf cleaner run through the tank, it's not come on since, but there's numerous records on the obd of egr valve. Dealer paying for 40% of valve replacement (plus cooler) as I've had only 2 events since I had it and they should have checked it before sale. I don't want to cause any more problems to engine and emissions system by ignoring it, so going ahead this Wednesday.
  15. Thanks Akash, please let us know how you get on.
  16. Also the strange noise from the egr after turning off is still there...even though it's brand new.
  17. Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me figure out the correct DPF pressure sensor for my car. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there. Car details: Model: Audi A5 Sportback Year: 2016 Engine code: CNHA-PVM VIN: WAUZZZ8T1GA054215 Background: The car has had a DPF issue before. In 2021, the previous owner had the DPF pressure sensor replaced and a forced regeneration done. The part installed at that time was 03L 906 051 B. Now, in 2025, I’m getting the same DPF error again (P2002 - Particulate trap bank 1 efficiency below threshold). I started looking for a replacement sensor and here’s what I found: PartsHaus.co.uk recommends: 04L 906 051 C or 04L 906 051 K Caffyns Audi (UK dealership) recommends: 03L 906 051 D The current sensor fitted: 03L 906 051 B As far as I understand, the CNHA engine is part of the EA288 platform and might not be fully compatible with the older “B” sensor. But I’m struggling to understand: Why are multiple different part numbers being recommended for the same engine? Which sensor is actually the correct one for the CNHA engine and why? Could using the wrong sensor affect DPF performance or trigger false regeneration cycles/errors (like P2002)? If anyone has dealt with this or knows how to verify definitively based on the VIN or engine code, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance for your time! Marian
  18. Just in... Dear Mr Masser, Thank you for contacting Ofcom recently about in-car DAB reception. I am sorry for the delay in responding to you. The relevant DAB network operators have been looking into recent issues with certain vehicle infotainment systems. Although the issue appears to be related to the behaviour of these receivers in the presence of certain valid signalling (which is compliant with the international technical standards for the DAB system), the operators are exploring options for mitigating the issue in the future. However, as the problem does not appear to be related to a technical fault or non-compliance on the part of the broadcasters, you may want to pass any further comments to the vehicle manufacturer direct. 20. Sorry for long post. I have a Japanese imported Audi Q3 Quattro 2014 Automatic with mileage of 62,000 and after approx. 1 month I noticed when I first got in car and pulled away there was a type of thud sound coming from rear it does it 3 or 4 times as I drive along then stops. It doesn’t do it again only on start up and only if car been sitting a few hours. I took it for a full service at Audi main dealership including replacing Haldex oil and nothing was found. My husband who is a mechanic for another main dealer has gone over the car and found nothing wrong and in fact both have said the car is in excellent condition. I did wonder if it was gear change thing as I when I start off, I go ridiculously slowly it doesn’t do it almost seems to start when car changes from first to second etc.. but nothing found wrong with gears etc. on examinations. There are no faults on computer of dash so I’m baffled. Don’t really want to take the car back as it is a good car in great condition. Has anyone else experienced this?
  21. I am not a betting man but as with my experience, after changing the MAF and the light coming back on, the pressure sensor is the next suspect. I think the MAF is less likely to fail and I wish I had looked at pressure sensor first as was a fraction of the price.
  22. I've got this error code popping up once in a while (probably 1-2 years now if not more) and never on cold engine, only when fully warms up + some driving on top of it. Can also notice a drop in RPM. Jumping from gear to neutral right before coming to a stop is usually when it feels like it's getting in the zone of stalling 500-600RPM it seems, but it never does, just jerks a bit, and RPM goes up again. But if I give it gas it will likely drop afterwards again when in neutral. Enabling A/C does help with RPM, it becomes more stable in situations like this. Anyone dealt with this issue before ? Also idk if related, but gas station pump clicks and have to keep nozzle halfway in to fill it up. My guess would be to look at EVAP system, but would it be even related to p1031 ? Engine: 2L FSI 110kw petrol.
  23. Evening everyone. Just purchased a 2015 Audi S7 V8 450bhp petrol with 96000 miles, lovely car but has just thrown up the error on my ODB2 o2 sensor signal stuck lean; bank 1 sensor 2. Is this an easy fix to do at home, or a garage job? If it can be done at home where can i find it? Thank you.

  25. Does it really need to be spelled out?
  26. Often get multiple faults after disconnecting the battery. Need to leave it disconnected for about 30 mins. Usually clears after driving a couple of miles. If the airbag light stays on a useful fault code reader is OBDeleven that also resets fault codes. Basic version is about £50 and pro version about £80. Since dealers charge about £100 to run a diagnostic they are worth considering.
  27. Think i have found the correct locations. The picture listed in the haynes workshop manual page 1A.10 calls this the filler but it looks to be the drain plug. The filler looks to be located higher up at the back of the gear box. The picture with the drive shaft shows the drain plug 17mm hex in the lower section. Other picture shows the filler plug just sticking out at the rear of the gear box. Will give this a go next weekend if the weather stays dry.
  28. Good. Your mechanic should have warned you of the potential for failure. Perhaps consider going elsewhere next time.
  29. This might help but check the engine code https://r-techperformance.co.uk/axx-bwa-tfsi-k04-turbo-conversion/ Obviously it won't make the power on this website unless you add a whole load of supporting hardware. If you don't change the fuel pump at least change the follower if not already. Same with the PCV will most probably fail with more boost, rocker gaskets often go also. My TT has the KO4 from the standard since it uses the CDL engine. I got compressor surge trying to get past 350BHP so I had to get a better turbo and ditch the stock KO4
