  2. Looking at any advice on slightly lumpy power delivery under power, not sure if it is the tyres, fuel pump, any ideas or checks i could do to maybe fix this? its not bad just a little annoying sometimes.
  3. Hello Neil Our alternator stopped completely so battery didbt work. Rescue service guy charged the battery but it only lasted about 10 minutes at the very most. We only turned engine only to help park in drive way, which again the car only drove for 5 mins, by that time the battery had drained. The alternator wasnt doing anything. Hope that helps. Hardip
  4. AUDI A3 / S3 / 2018 Sportback Quattro AWD Current Mileage 18,000 I’m new to the forum, and are looking for any advice on an issue I’m having with my car. The car randomly cuts out while driving. And brings up numerous dash cluster messages. I’ll attach pictures to show these. The car will let u start it sometimes, after cutting out. And sometimes will let you carry on your journey faultless. Sometimes it will turn off a few times. Loose power and power steering control. Sometimes the car won’t let u take it out of, Park Mode. Pop up radio randomly goes up and down with out touching a button. Scanned the car myself, and it was giving me the below codes. C111204 / Haldex clutch pump defective / I’ve replaced this with a new pump and oil and primed. Just in case this might have been the issue. I’ve had the, ECU sent off for tests, and came back with no reported faults. U112100 / Can signal Terminal 15 / No messages / Data Bus Know messages. U112300 / Data Bus Signal Reception Things ive changed 1. Battery & re-coded it with, OBELEVEN 2. All Relays & fuses 3. Haldex clutch pump, oil & re-primed 4. ECU been checked. id appreciate any help or input on resolving this problem. its been in the, Audi garage for diagnostic, but wouldn’t fault on them. Either on the test drive. They would prefer it to come in to them has a complete no starter. Which it’s not doing. They want £ 144 Per Hour to try different tests to see if they can find the problem. With the answer not being very convincing. Saying they could do 8 x Hrs on the car, and not find out. They say it’s possibly a, CamBus communication problem. or wire harness problem. But can’t be completely sure. Many Thanks, Gary
  5. Hi All 🙂, My 2021 Audi A3 has recently developed an annoying knocking sound which seems to be coming from around the area circled in the attached photo. It's definitely coming from above the timing belts, and pulleys etc. Performance isn't affected, but obviously something isn't right. Has anyone any idea what this could be?. VID_20250524_135636.mp4
  6. Hi, Just purchased my first Audi 2.0 TDI Black Edition in Daytona Grey (with Tech Pack and Comfort Sound Pack) 33k miles (picking up next week) So if anyone has some hints and tips, what to look out for and things on the entertainment system i need to look at, I'm more than welcome for pointers. Obviously, when you join a car forum all you see is a list of "How to fix" or "New issues with" as the main post's which always makes nervous reading when you have just put some hard cash down. Is there any main things i should look out for in the first month? and if anyone has a standard service cost at audi or 3rd party garage prices that would be useful to note. My wife thinks its a bit old man car, is it really?, I love the look!! Anyway i will be reading through lots of old posts to see what I have I got myself into..
  7. Hello Geraint, The forum is here to help you in any way it can. Please keep in touch with us. Regards, Gareth.
  8. Thank you Gareth, I will try and repair myself 🙂👍
  9. I never use the footrest, and it only serves to catch my shoe to prevent me from operating the clutch pedal. Before I remove it for ever, I wondered if anyone knew if there is carpet underneath the footrest?
  10. I can just about hear the noise in the last three seconds of the audio, but it is so overwhelmed by engine noise that I have no chance of identifying it.

    Apple car play

Not 100% sure they did in garage & was quickly set up. The Audi app works fine when I get in vehicle. Just checked I am set up via bluetooth

  17. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Check service history for proof of cambelt and water pump changes and gearbox services. Make sure ac works as compressors can be expensive. Make sure the heater works consistently between all vents and heat is the same. If not it could be an issue with the heater matrix. Issues with dpf, egr are well documented. Check YouTube videos for buyers guides
  18. Thanks! I bought the car and went directly to the very north of Sweden in the beginning of February and it was cold 🥶 as hell like -25 Celsius so one theory I have is that the discs weren’t worn in and got overheated and warped if I braked to hard. but I will try your advice first then and secondly change discs. Bosch discs are about 45€ each at AUTODOC so not too expensive.
  19. Hello Ian, Remove the auxiliary belt and see if the noise on cold starting disappears or not. Regards, Gareth.
  20. Thanks. That's really helpful. Changing the front discs this weekend so while I'm at it, will jack it up at the rear and see what markings I can find on the existing springs and hopefully match them against the LLL parts website.
  21. Fantastic news 😁
  22. Usually scan with VCDS to see if any error codes. He's a similar issue and how it was resolved.

  24. Hello all, Thank you for your help, and apologies for the late response. I got the car back yesterday—they’ve replaced the arms. I’ll be taking it to my friend’s garage to record a video of the post-repair condition and will share it here. There’s still a minor issue with the dashboard brake pad warning light. It remains on, even though the brake pads, discs, and sensor have all been replaced. The mechanic wasn’t able to resolve it and mentioned it’s likely related to the wiring, requiring an electrician. The dealer has agreed to arrange one. If anyone has experience with this issue or knows what might be causing the light to stay on, I’d appreciate any insights. After that’s sorted, I’ll also be getting the belt replaced as a precaution—it’ll cost around £200. The last belt change was 9 years ago when car mileage was 51k Kind regards,
  25. Hi all Is there a workshop manual that's available which covers the 2.6 V6 Coupe? I've seen that Haynes did one that covered the earlier models to 1990 but this doesn't include the 2.6. Even an exploded parts diagram would be of assistance if this is available anywhere. Thanks in advance
  26. Thanks will have a look .
  27. What is the latest on this Martin?
  28. Thanks Tony, Probably best to advertise this under a separate post - listing the registration number in the title. Regards, Gareth.
