  6. So part arrived quicker then the dealer planned, car has been dropped back and now have new issues that were not there before the car went wrong. New issues: Car is not recognised on the Octopus Go app and will not charge on the Hypervolt, did not have this issue before, have deleted the car from Octopus and re-setup the car and it still says no car plugged in. My profile has gone, could not add me so had to delete my profile from the car, app and and online and re-do, car now sees my profile. App is reporting incorrect battery levels of the car, this was also doing this before the delete and re-install but still does not show the right battery level, the app is talking to the car as I can open and close does, sound horn etc from the app but the battery level is wrong. Drivers side door central locking not always opening. I also tried plugging the car into a RolecEV charger in a car park and that reports no car connected. Anyone got any thoughts as it looks like the car is going back to the dealer?
  7. Hi, Thank you for your response. I saw this thread whilst researching before I posted my own. I’m not convinced I have an alternator problem. In my case it is the engine which suddenly died whilst under way. There were no abnormal indications at all on the dash and there’s no evidence of any event in the diagnostics record. In my opinion that indicates that the engine behaved correctly in response to its inputs (so nothing to report) but possibly one of those inputs was erroneous. The dealer is unable, or unwilling, to troubleshoot the matter.
  8. Hi Steve, How are you? I’m looking to get up to Nottingham sometime time next week (don’t know exactly when yet, that’s down to when I can get into Notts kayak club, could be the weekend ), to buy a racing kayak, so could bring the wheels up then if you’re still interested in them?
  9. See this topic which may or may not be related. https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/24906-alternator-failure-related-to-mild-hybrid-system
  10. There’s an aftermarket upgrade to the MMI & maps you can get. Not sure if it dies anything with the DAB radio but you could ask: Satnavmapupdates.co.uk MMIupdates.com I used the 1st one to update my maps but don’t know if it did anything to the radio.
  11. I totally agree with everything you have said, for me its not about the money, its about Audi taking their customers for a ride and not in a good way. If you need any help please let me know I am going to carry on with my little battle with Audi UK and I shall be keeping everyone here updated
  12. It’s petrol - mild hybrid.
  13. I jump in my sq5 , start it up , press to start the mmi. Then drive it . No faff , no fuss , it's been faultless , even with Audi sense activated. Think maybe OCD is the issue here . ☺️
  14. Hi can anyone help with this. I'm looking to code out the 'brake pad' wear limit reached message on dash. I managed to eliminate the orange brake light symbol when the message appears along with the audible by changing the long coding on VCDS but does anyone know where i can delete the message aswell on VCDS? New pads & discs fitted and also new genuine brake wear sensors but there seems to be that there might be a fault somewhere so im looking to de code it completley. See picture below of message and red warning light
  15. ThankQ for the prompt response, it was my local dealer that actually called me, I had my car booked in for the Recall work to be carried out (it was my Audi connect Phone App that actually notified me of the recall in the first instance ), my dealer called me to say the Recall was “recalled” by Audi, cancelled my booking and said if things change they will call me… that’s why I was interested to know if anyone actually did get the recall work carried out
  16. Welcome Peter, Worth trying a number of pattern suppliers who list on EBay. You should have some choice there. Also try Aliexpress. Re. fitting:- your trusted local garage should be able to then fit them for you. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  17. Welcome Paul, Yes, strange. Would suggest you simply contact your dealer for clarification. It doesn’t really matter whether anyone else has been confused - you have - and that’s all that matters. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  18. Has anyone else had the latest Q5 Recall for seat belt pre-tensioner “recalled” ? More interestingly did anyone have the recall work carried out? My 2026 Q5 was Recalled, however I received notice that the Recall was indeed Recalled which seems strange

  21. Hi, I'm looking for a engine/injector wiring loom that goes from the ECU (8P0 907 115 T Med 9.1) to the injectors (06F906036A) for a Audi A3 2008 2.0L TFSI Quattro due to an intermittent misfire issue on cylinder no. 4. Cost from TPS for genuine replacement is astronomical, any help would be appreciated (e.g. where to source a replacement, correct part no., etc)
  22. I have pointed you in one possible direction, so it is now time to do your own research. There is endless information available if you are really interested, but somehow I don't believe you are. I am withdrawing from this discussion.
  23. I should have also added - Faith in someone or something is paramount. Consistency is important. Going to your house and never knowing if the door lock will work, or the alarm will go off, or the smoke alarm will be activated. These are important things. And the same applies to the second most important thing after a house, a car, that people buy. Audi has failed me - but I doubt they are any different from other car manufacturers. Mercedes is on its last legs as a company, along with Porsche, and all the premium brands are losing money or market share. Too cheap Chinese cars - that seems to just work. Premium brands are time-limited, in my opinion. But - seems that's the short-term future of large organisations now.
  24. There is 1 charging point where I work, but it is only allowed to be used by managers who have electric cars leased through the company, so I am not sure I would get chance to use it, and even then presumably I would have to pay if it was my car? Is it a lot more expensive to charge electric cars in public charging places? I am guessing you pay extra for the service etc? I like some electric cars, like the Audi e-tron GT or the Porsche Taycan, but they aren't exactly in my price range.😵
  25. Sorry what is a self charging hybrid?🫣
  26. Well - now completed 500 miles. The car in driving mode is fantastic. Nippy, comfortable, quiet, and a pleasure to drive - a real pleasure. The downside - It would not start last week - the alarm also went off - and woke up the whole street. It stopped without intervention after around 2 minutes. Then, trying to get it into drive mode took at least 20 minutes. Turning ignition on and off, and all the usual tyre kicking. It eventually worked. Apple CarPlay - I am sick to death of having to reconnect the phone, and I have tried 2 others and all the same problem. Every time the car is started, having to tap a confirmation on the screen - or the app's MMI is unavailable. It's not my wording - that is what is displayed on the screen. The annoying routine of having to go through every safety feature to turn off all the nanny prompts. The worry of going towards the car, wondering what is going to go wrong next. If I want to go to Tesco with the wife, I make sure I get to the car first - hoping to sort any problem and turn off all the nanny prompts before she gets in. Then the worry is what problems are going to be thrown up when we leave the store. So - The best car to drive - but the one I don't want to drive - fearing what will go wrong next......
  27. Hi I’ve just joined and I want running boards on my 2024 Q5 petrol standard. I live in Edinburgh does anyone know where I can go other than the main dealer as they are extremely expensive. I require them to supply and fit for a good price.
