  1. Past hour
  2. I really like the Irish sense of humour!
  3. Keep us posted on how you get on.
  4. No problem Gareth , im sure your probably right , as I tell people I consider myself " an optimistic pessimist " Im optimistic that it will always go wrong ! 😀
  5. Hello again John, Apologies, but I’m having a ‘say it as I see it day’, and I think you are seriously overthinking this wheel bearing noise issue. Let’s hope nothing else occurs to engage a worrying mind, and if it is, it’s not too serious! Sorry John. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. I will see how it goes for a few days but after that would expect the dealer to give me a FOC solution given I have only done approx 3000 miles.
  7. Hello Alan, We all have varying opinions on the pos and cons of Stop/Start systems - as you will see via. a forum search. Straight talking personal opinion:- If I were you I would be clapping my hands that this engineeringly averse system isn’t working. If your views differ on the environmental benefits, then it might be worth considering the never-mentioned hundreds of thousands of tonnes of low grade fuel burnt in the atmosphere by aircraft every day. If you want it working ‘because it’s fitted and so it should be woking’, then the answer lies in using the car fa more frequently - which is of course environmentally averse! Our non-Audi behaves like yours because it can sit for a couple of weeks without use, prior to a 180 mile round trip - after which it occasionally wakes up, and I have to remember to isolate it! Yes, you can take it to the dealer Alan, and have some funds extracted from your wallet, and then discuss the possibility of them fitting a new battery (possibly at you expense), but I believe the answer lies in ‘fair bit of urban driving’. Regards, Gareth.
  8. I have checked the wheel for any sort of play , and will be doing daily , its the only mode of transport I have to work , so yes I will be driving ot for the next 2 weeks . I never said its perfectly fine , but it is a necessity. Ive also had 2 different mechanics check it and they both reassure me that its only after starting and its mild enough noise with zero play it will be fine for the next couple of weeks of driving .

  10. Hello, everybody! I had an issue with my brake system and decided to share the problem solving approach I taken. Cheers! A8 D4_FSI_brake system problem_solved.docx
  11. I have a 74 plate Audi A3 bought brand new in September 2024. The engine start / stop function is not working. I have done a fair bit of urban driving recently but on Friday I undertook a 60 mile round trip on motorways so expected it to kick in, especially in the hot temperatures. The function is switched on so don't understand why it is not working. A trip to my local dealer required?
  12. Sorry if missed that bit. In that case I wonder if it's a problem with the imobiliser which is built into the instrument cluster. The clusters are known to fail but can be repaired for around £300
  13. Hi Andreas. I have the app and it is very useful. I can't remember how I got it though. I have found the Audi Help line very helpful, I know others have not. I think the App is free. Tony
  14. That doesn't explain the no dashboard lights issue.

  17. I really struggle to believe that people think it's perfectly fine to drive around like this. Legal it may be, advisable it definitely isn't.
  18. The culprit finally started revealing 20250620_211359.mp4 20250620_211359.mp4 itself , front passenger side wheel bearing noising when wheel spinning with traction control off, so was able to spin wheel fast enough . It is the same side that the cv joint was done on last month . Weather the bad cv damaged the bearing or it was damaged when the cv was being installed, either way I finally found the problem , its being changed in 2 weeks , just have to limp on until then . 20250620_211359.mp4 20250620_211359.mp4
  19. One tenth of Audi cost is a good result indeed.
  20. So I noticed! lol I ended up purchasing the coolant lines from the Audi dealership for $60 and went to a mechanic my father knew, who charged $60 in labor to replace it. Total $120 + tip, instead of $1209.41, and still OEM pieces
  21. Hello Man Audi TT, Can see you have returned to the forum earlier today, any reason why you cannot have answered Clifford’s question?
  22. You're welcome. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  23. Many thanks. I'll contact them on Monday.
  24. You're welcome. Thats a shame. If you put your reg or vin into parts websites you might find the correct one. Not sure how long you've had the car but if you've bought it within the last 30 days from a dealer then they should fix it free of charge as you're protected under consumer law. As you can reject the car for a full refund within the first 30 days from sale.
  25. Cheers, I hope so. I cant imagine it would be anything else. No, there was too much corrosion/dirt on the back, even after cleaning it up with some cleaner the camera couldn't pick it up 🙄
  26. I think you're diagnosis is spot on. Have you managed to scan the QR code?
  27. Reply to Steve Q: Thanks for your further comment. I clicked "Latest Club Discounts (See All Discounts)" but got "Sorry, you cannot view this discount code or offer details because you are not a premium member."
