  2. Tom. Do please let us know the outcome, because if your problem is solved by a software update like Joe and Alan it would indicate a systemic problem that other owners need to know about.

  4. Failure of flap motors/linkages crops up regularly in these forums, so I'd agree that's the place to look first.
  5. Try opening and closing rear windows to see if that will reset the message.

  7. Son had the same with his gti. Called vw recovery and identified a software fault. All fixed in under an hour. Main dealer could not find the fault! They tried changing modules.

  9. I would really like to think that perhaps reactions around rudeness might be as a result of cultural differences, rather than individual personalities. However, if I’m wrong, I will consider closing this thread. Regards, Gareth.

  11. Mornin' all The MyAudi app on my phone is showing Irregularities detected in the Status section: 'Rear Windows open'. They are not open, and I am unable to clear this message. Any ideas? Best regards.
  12. Hello, I've got a 2015 3.0 BiTdi Allroad. I get a rough idle when then engine is cold. Feels like a cylinder misfiring. Once up to temp, it's fine. The car has been used a bit more for short journeys than I'd have liked. There are no error codes on VCDS. I changed all the glow plugs recently as one had gone down. Could it be some carbon build-up? Is there anything I should be looking at in VCDS to help diagnose the issue? If it is carbon, what needs removing and cleaning? Thanks
  13. I had an issue in January a couple of weeks after taking delivery of the same model - warning lights and limp home mode advised during a short journey. Similar story - dealer couldn't book me in for three weeks, but advised calling Audi Roadside Assistance. I did this, and a couple of hours later the technician arrived, ran diagnostics and discovered a software issue that was fixed with an update. Might be worth a call to Assistance to see if they can come out and at least diagnose the problem.

  15. hi josh ive been following this thread and im amazed at your attitude towards people trying to help you with your situation, you mention rudeness in your previous post but i think the only person being rude is you,i dont think youl get much help anywhere with your engine problem unless you realise that you are a big part of that problem, best of luck,Greg
  16. I'm sure I've seen this with other new Audi models. I think there's a software update for the issue.
  17. Nice, looking forward to seeing how this develops
  18. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.

  20. Being that nothing was asked other than "connect it to a diagnostic reader" despite my writing of extensive details and background, that could've led to a helpful discussion for not just myself but others. (even a simple hey can you double check the diagnostic to see if this or that isn't or is showing up) It appears only Stevey Y is familiar with an Audi engine and others just hope and pray the diagnostic reader will tell them what to do. Thanks for leaving no doubt as to why people only post once and then find out why that was a mistake and move on. Sounds like it's a common enough problem of rudeness, lack of ability to provide meaningful dialogue and thus scaring so many people away that a sticky had to be created.
  21. Thank you for for the response, it's appreciated. I understand what you are saying but fail to see how low aircon gas can effect the blower. I may entertain it anyway to rule it out.
  22. The car is brand new and still under guarantee. Take it back to the dealer you bought it from for a free repair.
  23. Over the 30 day limit you will need to take legal advice about any recourse, but I am not optimistic about your chances. It's irrelevant to the matter, but if the gearbox has 8 gears it cannot be a CVT (continuously variable transmission). It is a standard automatic DSG (double shift gearbox).

  25. Reducing the trim and features seems to be a policy with vag cars. Latest gti does not have an automatic bonnet stay or dipstick. You can buy them separately if you want to retrofit.

  27. 2026 SQ8 Often my boot opens when I open the drivers door. Sometimes I find it open for no reason even when the key is not on my person. Today I found the front passenger window opened and the roof tilted about 10 minutes after arriving home when they were definitely closed. Has anyone else had these issues? Any ideas? 7e84e0e21d83473aa1ec13f4f11b59da05052026_111657am.mp4

  30. thanks for all the help lads,i think ill concentrate now on getting my own engine sorted,as Cliff says a 2nd hand engine will still have a lot of work done so at least with my own one i can strip it and make it good again, itll be a project that i can work on over the next 7 or 8 months.thanks again
  31. Definatly 8 speed CVT, are we thinking definatly gearbox fault here, do I have to get it diagnosed as proof before reject, just checked time flys its just over the 30 day period, as trader is 200 miles away do I have to take to them to repair or can I get someone else to do it if faulty and charge finance/trader
  32. That is low considering the others were at 200 psi, but that was after 2 days and only a few miles so a good run it would probably come up more. Any car that had been started up, moved a few meters then switched of before coming off cold start will be bad on compression for a bit.
  33. Hi try pm to Audia4KEV he may well know of an engine. Steve.
  34. Hi think your aircon needs a degass had the same with mine and it was low refrigerant, its probably got a leak and if you look where the radiator is it might as well have a sign on it, Road Debris hit me. Steve.
  35. Will have that done, its same spec just different make
