  3. This engine is the 2.0tdi the tfsi is petrol i think
  4. If the deal seems too good to be true it probably is. The 2.0 tfsi is notorious for oil consumption and eating piston rings. The only cure is an engine rebuild.
  5. Yep imobiliser definitely can.
  6. This would be the only issue or its an issua in adition to the ones you mentioned? Could a defective imobiliser also prevent the engine from starting and also turn off the engine suddently. Those happens when its hot weather only.

  8. 97k full history service it's just 3 hours away from .is it worth the travel .3750 that's about the price
  9. Thanks. I’ll check the myAudi app and the OVO app. I might try doing all my charger timing with the OVO app only
  10. Masontonylee. I have merged your identical topics because duplicate topics lead to confusion and dilution of effort. Please do not create duplicates. It won't get you any extra attention.
  11. Never mind what the seller told you, can he provide written evidence of the car's service history? If he can not, walk away from the deal unless you fancy some expensive repair bills. Relying on a video and the vendor's patter to inform a purchase decision is something you will regret for ever. Go see the car, drive it, and examine the paperwork. If you don't feel confident enough in your own judgement take a knowledgeable friend or get the car independently examined. I believe the RAC or AA can provide that service. Above all don't rush into a decision. If you miss out on this one there will always be another.

  19. Steve. I have hidden your original duplicate topic. It's perfectly fine to reply to your own topic if you have extra information to add.
  20. Send us some photos of the issue Steve.
  21. Hi..have the fault code P001600 code. Reads “ crank shaft position-camshaft position correlation bank 1 sensor A “ basically more frequently now I have an issue starting but it always does start drives and runs fine. Economy still good. Performance still good. Belt tensioners and pump changed around 30,000 ago. Now done 156,000. I’m hoping it’s just a bad sensor..where is the camshaft sensor located? Is it under the belt cover! Easy job? Or NOT? Audi A3 2.0TDI 8P
  22. Hi All, I've got a Q8 where the pop out side sunshade for one of the rear doors has a a bad crease in it it looks like the corner of the fabric has come away from the metal frame. is there a way to fix this easily as Audi want to replace the entire unit at £600 inc fitting which seems pretty exorbitant? Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to fix it? Is there a car interior fabric/upholster that may be able to help? Would appreciate some help. Huge thanks, AA
  23. Glad you got sorted 🙂
  24. Undoubtedly they will help if you pay them lots of money. Subscription services are a nasty increasing trend amongst car makers recently. BMW tried it a few years ago in regard to some of the luxury features that required an annual payment for continued operation.
