  1. Past hour
  2. Good evening dear colleagues and Audi owners, on my Audi A6 c7 2014. 3.0 bitdi quattro the yellow engine appeared on the dashboard, and I put obd 11 to see what error I get and I discovered a P242B, I understood that it is an exhaust gas temperature sensor, and I would like if any colleague could tell me where it is located and a code on the part to change it, thank you!
  3. Repeating :-well worth putting the pair of Hankooks on the front.
  4. Today
  5. You don’t need a tester to inspect the condition of the cables within the flexible harness section Kieran.
  6. mate did a scan and this is what came up ....i did repair my glovebox the other day and turned the passenger airbag off and disconnected the wires .....maybe thats summat to do with the problem???? 1,Audi,,2008,WAUZZZ8P28A173279,979860329838,1749829495,-1.pdf 2.pdf
  7. I haven't got a tester at the moment unfortunately
  8. Hankook the other wheels , like I said I had a blowout and that tyre was the only one available at that time .
  9. RoadX - sounds like Chinese best, and personally I wouldn’t opt for that and another unknown brand on the front axle. What brands and remaining tread do you have on the back ones?
  10. Checked my advice then Keiran?
  11. You'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the ballast
  12. The hazards switch doesn't seem to be playing up at all i had someone come out and test with a multi meter they proved that the light unit and bulb holder is fine it just isnt getting the power to it he suggested it might be the power moduler but I cant find which one it is
  13. To add to Gareth's advice, on older audi models if the hazard switch fails or starts to fail it can cause the I dictators to play up. If that's the case the cure is a new hazard switch
  14. Mine has been fine for some weeks now, I did have issues caused by my dashcam. That may not be relevant to an A3 though as it depends where the radio aerial is located, on a Q3 it is in the rear window glass. On a Q3 the Update Station List option is at the top of the main station listing screen on each waveband, it is NOT on the Memory list screen.
  15. Does anyone know what this fault is? thanks
  16. How long have you had the car? Your issue sounds like something completely different to what all experienced. Check you dab antenna, wherever that might be on A3?
  17. My initial thoughts on the noise was that it had something to do with the outer cv joint that was changed as it started within 2 weeks of the job being done , but I have never heard of a bearing or humming noise from a cv joint . It was too much of a coincidence in my mind , but I suppose coincidences do happen after all . Thanks for all yer replies gang , as always ye were very helpful.
  18. I'm going to leave it run for a while as there is no play in any of the wheels and if it is a bearing it will only get louder and will know for sure then, it's going for a service in 3 weeks so it would surly be worse by then if its a bearing. And if its only an tire issue I can live with that until new tyres are called for , by the way the tyre i got was a Roadx brand and thats the only one they had in my size 255/35/ r20 at the time . Don't know what they are like for road noise . Thanks
  19. On older tyres, it's possible to get flat spots, but that's not the case here. You definately want to be running with the same brand on an axle.
