  2. Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 2017 Audi a3 2.0 TDI that had a very minor bump to the passenger front corner. The airbag light came on and I have changed the sensors (both sensors in bonnet hinges and also 2 at front) it was showing but airbag light is still on. I have now found the cut wire but don’t know where this has come from, so I need a wiring diagram to possibly help me identify where it is from. I have attached a pic of the fault codes and also the cut wire. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi to you all We have a 2013 cabriolet with 75k on the clock and a full Audi service history, owned her for about a month now and are enjoying the open top driving so much. However, recently on a long run back from relatives the coolant level indicator came on, so stopped and checked the level and needed to top her up with 1/2 a litre of coolant, bought at the garage I stopped at. 2 weeks later, the coolant level indicator came on again, only this time telling us to stop immediately and turn the engine off, we did this and checked the level again, only this time it was right at the bottom of the coolant reservoir. My question is, are there any known problems with the coolant levels on this model, I cannot see any obvious leaks or wet patches when I move the car from a standing position off my drive. Any help will be gratefully received, we really love this car and my wife - who owns the car wants to make we can sort out the issue. Thanks in advance for any help
  4. HI, Worthwhile trying, but didn't work for me. I redeployed the app and changed the pwd & got as the reset - did a "soft-reset" .. meaning holding the volume control knob for ± 15 secs . When it comes up I see it verifying my original/current key user (lets say XXX) for access ... and then I get the user dialog. XXX is still listed alongside 'Guest' but I cannot apply its settings (tech error) .. I cannot delete XXX .. and I cannot add a new user with the new password: "technical errors" everywhere. The only option I see is do a full factory reset (the nuclear option) .. but I understand I may need dealer approval with registering a new user 😞 So still stuck ... This whole key user thing has always been unstable; I had issues with my last Audi too and had to leave it at the dealer. In any case, if anyone has any suggestions/advice it would be welcome
  5. Hi cliff yes i know how to reset the tpms. What’s failing is that it seems to register inconsistent pressure on the front tyres, both set at 2.6 bar but TPMS is reading way above this.
  6. Hello, I'm new to the forum and seeking suggestions on how to identify a problem with my electric windows. Issue is that the windows move when I lower and raise the hood, but the multi switch on the driver's side does not work. I ordered a replacement switch from eBay and this also didn't work. I've investigated the wiring in the door hinge but there are no obvious breakages. I've heard that it could be a faulty window motor and have ordered a used replacement from eBay. It arrives tomorrow. If this doesn't solve the problem I'm not sure what to do next. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks
  7. Just to follow up on this, had the car in for a diagnostic after going through the motions of trying to eliminate the cause of the noise. Turns out its the gearbox. Warranty company are trying to impose a cap on hourly labour charges (despite being purchased with unlimited labour costs!) meaning no garages will undertake the works, I'm also now 3 weeks past 6 months of owning the car so got a fight on both sides to either get it repaired or try and reject. Has anyone had any luck going down the rejection route after 6 months? On a plus the video shows the noise was present within the 6 months so could use that to some degree hopefully.
  8. Hello Charles, If this were mine, I would be seeking advice on your air suspension issue from BagpipingAndy ( obviously up your neck of the woods). He is the guru on these systems, and may well have come across this before with this model. You will find him on EBay. Try searching ‘air suspension compressor piston ring’ or similar. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  9. Sorry to hear you're still having issues. Keep fighting because they'd love to charge you for the work if it was out of warranty!
  10. Thanks Gerry, Current mileage and mileages at which it’s been serviced during its 8 years? Who will you be entrusting the servicing to? At only 5k/a, if were mine, it would be having it serviced every year, since low mileages can be hard on a vehicle. We cover about the same miles a year with our A3 - now on 176K, and if it helps, I can outline what I do annually. “Inspection interval”? Maybe, whoever serviced it last didn’t reset the system-? Maybe due a brake fluid change if this coincides with the car’s anniversary of first registration? Regards, Gareth.
  11. Appears to be sorted but looking for a C8 specialist once the warranty expires as I've lost total confidence with the main dealer customer services management. I found a dealer with decent customer servers but as soon as they had to escalate for clearance I encountered feedback from someone who shouldn't be in this type of roll. I still have lots CAN bus communications errors but can't get Audi to do anything about them, TADS (they all do that sir) but I work in data communications and don't agree. It's either poor module firmware or a loose fibre/copper connection. If I had access to the schematics and module / connections location I'd go through it myself once out of warranty but I cant find these anywhere. Cheers for the chase.
  12. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  13. Sorry for the delayed reply, did you get this sorted? Not sure it should be dropping after 6 days. I'd definitely say it's a leaking bag.
  14. Glad you got it back. Let's hope the recall gets done quickly so you can charge it 100% again
  15. Hi Gareth, Thanks for your reply. I have the service history, which is all up to date, so just wanted to check what to do from here on in. The oil is still lovely and honey like, despite it being serviced about 3000 miles ago before we got it. Annual mileage for us would be c. 5000'ish. What is this "inspection interval" ? Thanks
  16. Any good 3rd party fully integrated CAN bus tow-bar electronics will deal with all of the advanced features, however when I researched this these were at least twice the cost of a dumb system. In the end I opted for a genuine Audi tow-bar retrofit for a stupid amount of money but it just works and does lots of smart tweaks to the suspension, gearbox and engine that make towing 1.6 tonnes effortlessly.
  17. Hello Gerry, No service book - all records will be digital for services carried out by authorised service agencies. Or receipts. Service intervals? Either annual if mileage is less than c1K/a, or Longlife which could equate to c18k miles or 18 months. Are you looking for evidence of previous history, or wanting to know what you have to do from here in? If you could let us have your anticipated annual mileage, and the current mileage, then we should be able to advise further. Regards, Gareth. p.s. brake fluid change every 2 or 3 years. Belt/s? Current recommendation is highly questionable in my book.

  19. Hi guys, What are the service intervals for the 2017 A3 8V Petrol? Also, on the dash it gives you a "service due" and also another "inspection"? Whats the difference between the two and what are the service intervals? Also, are all the service records digital, so you dont need a service book, or should these cars come with a service book? Thanks.
  20. FOR SALE IS A PAIR OF SIDE SKIRTS FOR AN AUDI A3/S3/S-LINE. I BOUGHT THESE TO PUT ONTO OUR SALOON A3 BUT AFTER ASKING MY BODY SHOP MAN ABOUT THEM HE SAID THE SALOON ONES ARE EVER SO SLIGHTLY LONGER, SO I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING FURTHER WITH THEM. SELLING BOTH SIDES TOGETHER, SO DRIVERS AND PASSENGER SIDE. MAY SPLIT IF ENOUGH INTEREST. ORIGINALLY OFF A 2015 S3 SPORTBACK, BUT I AM LED TO BELIEVE THESE WILL FIT FROM 2013-2020, BUT PLEASE DO YOUR OWN CHECKS. SKIRTS HAVE SOME DIRT ENGRAINED INTO THEM, THEY NEED A PROPER CLEAN AND ALSO PERHAPS A CLAYBAR TO REMOVE SOME OF THE MUCK, I'VE JUST GIVEN THEM A QUICK JET WASH. ONE SKIRT HAS A GRAZE DOWN THE BOTTOM, THE OTHER HAS A VERY SMALL DINK. IF YOU ARE REPAINTING THESE A DIFFERENT COLOUR THEN NEITHER OF THESE ISSUES IS A PROBLEM BUT PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR WHAT I HAVE MENTIONED. OTHERWISE THEY ARE GOOD AND THERE IS NO ACTUAL BREAKS OR DAMAGE. THEY ARE IN A LOVELY BLUE/PURPLEY COLOUR. I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ORIGINAL S3 COLOUR. NO CLIPS OR FIXINGS INCLUDED, WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET, JUST THE PAIR OF SKIRTS. £115 ONO (collection Birmingham).
  21. Thanks. I have a Carly and will give it a scan…👍
  22. hope it's sorted this time.
  23. Hi, Thanks again for all your advice, going to try and find someone who can read the live data.
  24. No probs. As I say I went off what's for sake currently on autotrader. And all the ones with 204ps aren't listed as hybrid. But looking at Derek's comment it looks like I could be wrong as he has first hand experience of the A5.
  25. Can't say I've heard of it. You could always get it checked by Audi or an independent Audi specialist
  26. I have a 2024 A4 204ps petrol and it has mild hybrid so I'd be surprised if they hadn't carried it over to the new car. If you've had an Audi with mild hybrid in the past then it looks like they've made the energy recovery greater in the newer models. In my 2022 A5 coupe I could feel the car slowing slightly with it when I took my foot off the throttle but that effect is greatly exaggerated in the newer ones. It's not a bad thing, it's just getting used to it. I generally don't brake unless I have to slow down suddenly or for junctions so it took a while to get used to it kicking in. Especially when it decides instead to put the car into neutral and let it coast. I imagine that it's closer to how EVs behave with their energy recovery
