Hey thanks for the offer but I am not looking for a 2.8 engine and no Avant I want a Saloon But thanks for the offer 🙂
-
So stage 2 straight through exhaust such as powerflow etc. Better injectors, turbo and intercooler. Then remap. Don't forget to get the gearbox mapping looked at afterwards too.

This must be infuriating for you.

Anton8 started following Another Recall
-
Hi. Just received a letter from Audi UK recalling my car yet again. "Checking High Voltage Battery" The car has to be in the workshop for at least 4 days, Audi say that you WILL be given a courtesy car, but we will see if Audi South East renege on this as usual to me. On reading the letter it seems that the car will need to go into the workshop for 4 days for battery checks every 90 days until they release the new delayed diagnosis soft ware. Until then it says "Do not charge beyond 80%". So now I have a car which which cost me £85k, and will be in and out of the workshop and only 80% range. Tony

PRejto started following Help With Disassembly of A1 Multimedia Control Head
-
Hello, Hopefully someone here has managed to disassemble one of these control heads. I have managed all except for the last step on this 8X0.035.183.F from a 2014 A1. The middle switch is defective but I have found the exact replacement part 62AGY22033. I just cannot remove the circuit boards as shown in the photo. Two screws attaching the board have been removed but it won’t budge. There is an odd looking plastic extrusion just under the board that I suspect may be some sort of release but nothing I have tried works. I’m afraid to apply too much force. The metal chassis surrounding the board is loose from the front plate but is stopped by the CB from coming off. Thanks in advance if anybody knows the answer! Peter

The cleanliness, part numbering and yellow paint suggest the engine has been newly rebuilt. Unfortunately as a private sale the vendor has little obligation to fix the leak unless you can show written evidence that he has deceived you regarding the engine condition.

Audi A6c8 rear spring lower mounting corrosion
dalswinton replied to Mickwillow's topic in Audi A6 (C8) Forum
Had this happen on my previous A4 Allroad about 2 years ago, only it was the o/s/r. I know at least another 2 people who have had to change the o/s/r mount due to it breaking up. so it pays to keep an eye on them. -

AlexR started following Tow Bar coding 2019 Avant
-
Had my dealer retrofit the stowable Audi Tow Bar. Works fine and has also added a ‘Tow Bar’ function to the MMI Reversing Camera that shows an orange line and dot where the tow bar is. i gather the software also modifies the Stability Control function to optimise handling with a caravan under tow. It also adds a caption showing if the tow bar is not safely locked. When towing a different set of green indicator lights shows on the instrument panel when indicating. Wish I had ordered this at build as the retrofit was costly. The parts were around £1200 plus a hefty chunk of labour.

Audi A6c8 rear spring lower mounting corrosion

Had this happen on my car at around 3+ years. Mine was the Rear Near Side. Dealer service dept reckoned that Near Side is more vulnerable due to roadside puddles etc. -

The leak appears to be coming from the block. unfortunately it was bought private and the seller is not responding.
-
What have you done so far? What engine is it?
-
Sounds like you're getting there 🙂 keep us posted if the key reprogramming fixes the issue.
-
Evidently Michael is not going to update this topic so I shall stop watching it.

Hello I ordered a ccm with identical part number from Germany took a while to come when I was buying it I asked the seller to cut the connectors off and give me a bit of wire to also work with when rewiring cut off my main black block connector and got my new connector and soldered it in I plugged in my new ccm and everything is working windows and also interior lights the doors aren’t locking I’m thinking due to the keys not being programmed will do that during the week with a vcds. Only main thing left to really do is fix my boosting issue I found the problem with the vacuum pipe which goes onto the nipple on the side of the tandem pump may try and use chemichal metal to reinforce the nipple and prevent the leak first before possibly replacing the pump .

It’s a while since it was recharged, I’ll get that checked as well, thanks again for all your advice, it’s most appreciated.
