  3. Gary. You have asked several questions over the past few months. We would appreciate some feedback to indicate what success you have had in solving your problems. Perhaps even some thanks if we have helped?
  4. Hi have changed the battery?, other than that you have a bad pulse wire in the rubber boot between the door and the body. Steve.
  5. Hi for your ignition controlled wire find a fuse thats 10 amps or under the 5 amp auxiliary heater fuse is a good one if its fitted, don't use any 10 amp fuse that guard anything like wipers or electric steering and make sure the piggy back spur has the camera fuse, two and a half amp in the top position, trying to find a permanent live is a nightmare so you may have to resort to running a permanent live from the battery with a fused link and routing it through one of the rubber loom boots on the bulkhead to get the wire into the cabin. Steve
  6. Just joined thank you for allowing me in
  7. 5 out of 10 time's passenger door won't unlock with key remote?
  8. Hi. I'm a Newbie so please forgive any brainless inconsistencies with site protocols Does anyone know which fuse I can piggyback from for fitting front and rear dashcams, both of which have parking mode available (need permanent live even with ignition off to activate in the even of car park collision etc) ? Many thanks to anyone who answers this or offers advice as it's the first time I've owned an Audi (A3 2022) and no, I couldn't find it on any previous posts according to my search.
  9. Hey all, current got a 2018 audi a6 Quattro with software version RMC_EU_P16342. To be honest, car have decent spec but this software is real let down. Nav SD version is also 2017. Can anyone advise how I can upgrade? Ideally I want to use apple CarPlay and have decent upgraded .maps. Don’t want to start retro fitting screens etc. I have a couple of videos on YouTube about purchasing sd card and downloading another version but just to make sure I am doing the right thing. That’s why thought I should ask u guys 👍🏻. Advice welcome please, thanks
  10. I’m looking to buy an Audi A5 3.0L diesel sportback (5 door) (245hp) S-tronic (S-line or Black Edition). Preferably in black with decent mileage (up to 120k) year 2012-onwards.
  11. Thanks for the reply. That’s interesting alright, I wouldn’t have considered that being an issue either. Are you planning to take a risk with it and see if it fits?
  12. Thanks Cent! That is reassuring - I heard some reports of 37 mpg for long motorway trips…which would defeat the point! I am mainly hanging on for the upgraded option packs like heads up display (I borrowed a BMW with it and loved it) which is currently offered with the standard engines. It would be nice if the PU was also an upgraded…but we will see. Will let you know as soon as I find anything out, I’m on a waiting list to be sent the details as soon as they become available.
  13. Hi, I have just upgraded to 22’s and need a set a new tyres, please can you recommend some good quality tyres for these alloys? Thank you
  14. Hi Jon, In hybrid mode doing my weekly 140mile return trip to head office it achieves 60 odd mpg. It's got more than enough poke to make the journey interesting if needed (most of the time) My lease runs out next may so I'll be interested in feedback on the facelift model, details are non existent atm
  15. Hi all! I wonder if you could help me? I am thinking of buying a 45 comp (in Daytona grey) at the end of this year when the facelift version comes out. However, I mostly drive around the m25 and other dual carriage roads, typical length 90 miles each way. I want something dynamic and engaging but is totally relaxed sitting at 70mph with adaptive cruise. At the moment I have a tdi A3 and get well over 50mpg…obvs I want to save the planet and so I am thinking of phev but I don’t have great access to chargers (none at my block of flats and none at work, there are some public ones near my flat). Should I stick to a combustion engine or does the A3 PHEV make sense in this scenario? Thank you!
  16. Hi , I have 2 krys and both don't work for opening the boot
  17. Hi. I have an audi q7 2010 that was parked for 2 weeks. After getting the car started cause it had a flat battery the driver side and drivers rear did not lift up whereas the passenger side and passenger rear has lifted. I did have the yellow light on the dash which has been on for a couple of months now the code i got from that was the 01772 code but the air system worked fine. Now going over bumps is very uncomfortable as there is no air on one side of the vehicle

  19. I’ll answer my own question, in case it is ever helpful to anyone else. I changed a 2018 door for a 2019. There was no facelift till the 2020 model, but must be that the 2020 model launched sep 19. The door control unit between the two cars was slightly different, so I ended up switching out the door wiring loom and control unit, and for good measure the window motor and speaker, and all seems good.
  20. Hi everyone, Thank you for the various responses - much appreciated. I will post an update once I’ve picked it up and taken it for a spin. Will post jobs/prices etc. It’s had some Powerflex bushes also … as they were severely perished and the Audi/OEMs were on back order. Any recommendations on window tinting? I’ve been looking for some details on the factory tinting %s to have this replicated (as mine does not have this option). I drive in Europe quite a lot … so it’s for practical rather than aesthetic reasons TBH. Also found out that factory tinted glass vs aftermarket tinting stops virtually no heat/UV … Any advice appreciated!
  21. My settings are already on the least sensitive. Still happens. Doesn’t real worry me though. I’m keeping it into its fourth year now as I quite like it and nothing within a reasonable price that is compatible came up. I’ve got exactly 12 months to plan what’s next…
  22. Did you find out what it was mine just done exactly the same now. Please let me know.
  23. those error messages are in fact a frequent thing and it comes down to the sensitivity of your settings (radar, collision assist etc). You can adjust your settings to pick up far less in the realms or items vs distance but not recommended. FYI the car records loss of vision or detection as faults and stay logged until removed. I recently had Audi assist come out for something else related I had 136 codes stored and following that CAM bus errors because of how many were stored. I was politely reminded that these issues have become a common issue causing modules to slow down or self fault due to bus memory being clogged with error codes. from time to time it’s recommended to review and clear. Ideally around service intervals. You’d think your main dealer would do this as part of their service but they don’t and leave them…
  24. I have contacted my local dealer who went through the process of getting hold of the exploded diagrams. their verdict was that it may not fit the pre-facelift bumper/grille housing which I thought was odd given it’s the same relative size and location as before.
  25. Has it come with a spare key, if so try it either that first. As it could be an issue with the key (most likely) or an issue with the receiver. If bought from a dealer in the last 30 days then the supplying dealer should fix this FOC.
  26. I'd recommend you speak to other remappers such as revo, darkside developments, Celtic tuning as example.
  27. Speaking from an owner from a similar aged Audi (A6 C5) Interior trim is hard to come by and some external trim is becoming short supply. Service history is key and make sure there's no smell of damp ect of water ingress. Check footwells for damp carpets. Make sure all electronic items work as they can be expensive to change.
