Frankygene1235 started following Front wipers won’t work
-
My Audi A6 2008 has recently be showing up wipers defective whenever I turned the car on but would quickly go off and the wipers would work as normal this went on for about two months until they fineally stopped working altogether . After about two weeks of them not working altogether they came on randomly at one point and jammed themselves down under the bonnet of the car after this they have never came back on .. I have replaced the linkage , the motor (multiple motors) the wiper control module and the wiper arm stalk inside the car and still cannot get my wipers to work I plugged it into the computer and it’s not showing any problems . Every wire and relay possible has been checked .. It seems the wipers have put them into service mode and won’t take themselves out of it , I’ve tried manually resetting the wipers but she just puts herself back into service and won’t seem to come out . I’m at my wits end trying to figure this problem out if anyone has encountered anything like this it would be a great help if you could point me in the right direction

Good evening Phill. I liked a post, do you have a Facebook page so I can get information about the sound of my Audi from you?

alan birch started following sluggish pull away when cold
-
My B8 2.0TDI auto is reluctant to move on a cold engine, either forwards or reverse. Requires a lot of revving. Is this a fault I have to live with or is there a cure? Incidentally Audi dealer never mentioned this after service.

not presently. The parts are no. Refundable. you are looking at around £800 in parts and if you have parking sensors, camera and radar you will need to pay for calibration of which is around £600 but this may vary from dealer to dealer.

No I actually just went to my local mechanic. I'm not sure if I just got lucky but he's very trustworthy and reasonably priced. Based around Dalston in East London. -

Ah ok. Cheers for that. Ok I will make that suggestion to my EV mechanic. Did you go to Audi for that one, and did you have to go to a high voltage specialist Audi garage (eg Watford?). -

Hey. Mine actually isn't yet resolved. It's booked in to see Audi in a couple of weeks. (Quickest appointment I could get). I'm pretty confident mine is just a faulty sensor as the car drives perfectly and charges etc with no issues. The issue you have, I did also have though about a year ago. I think my mechanic said the hybrid actuator was broken (though don't quote me on this as I might be missing remembering). Worryingly he said when he opened it up, it fell apart in his hands. He had no idea what caused it. Overall it cost me about £700-800 to fix and has been fine since. I hope you get it sorted. -

I’d heard of the powershift issues but little about any eco boost engines. my brother has a fiesta with the 3pot eco boost and they love it. -

Too true, what would be worse is an eco boost with a powershift auto gearbox! -
Tommeh93 started following Anyone had adblue coded out?
-
Recently bought an a4 avant, drives fine and no lights on dash. However start/stop doesn’t work and I’ve noticed when scanning it I get one code U010E lost communications with reductant control module, just wondering if this is normal with an adblue coded out?

Tigermaul replied to markymarkmck's topic in Audi Q3 Club
How was your issue resolved? I have the same error message. Mine came after long drive in rain, then charging at lamppost. Charged stopped automatically 2/3 full rather than continue to 100% as usual, but car then showed error messages and wouldn’t start at all. Mobile EV mechanic has changed 12v battery which means car starts (but direct to Ice which is unusual) but error messages still there and car won’t actually go forward or back when D or R engaged - he says the EV system and ICe motor aren’t talking to each other properly. All these problems came after - for the first time ever - I got into the ‘red’ on both electric and petrol fuel gauges, although it was still saying 60 miles range left. I think I have exactly the same car as you - a 2015 e-tron. Mine is out of warranty so hoping it’s not the dreaded EV battery! -

Hi, Looking for some help please, (vehicle type in topic title) - In the first instance I went to regas my A/C, the engineer that attended mentioned the system was full and that he had carried out leak tests and confirmed no leaks were present. However he could see from his instruments that when I switched the A/C on, the compressor wasn't switching on and that a number of things could be causing it. (He mainly only does regassing and not an actual A/C repair specialist). I did a fair abit of reading and a common issue stemmed from the high pressure switch, which I've replaced with a brand new one. I've also checked ALL the A/C fuses and they're fine too. There are no other issues present at all, car blower works like factory, heating elements are fine etc A/C is still blowing air at normal temperature (literally no difference in how cold the air is when the A/C is switched on compared to off). Does anyone have any ideas or come across this before? Thanks, Rohit.

Any update on your situation Will?
-
No probs at all. Once seats are out I think the plastic side trims round the base of the door apertures unclip and some clips just under the dash. Please keep us posted on how you get on

I agree with Gareth, take it to a local garage. If it does have an electronic handbrake when this will need to be put in the service position by vcds or similar

TheBuell started following Fuel cap flap

Is the fuel cap flap supposed to be locked when I lock up the car? Locked the car and I could still open the fuel cap flap?! if it's not lockable, is it possible to retrofit something to lock the cap when I lock the car? Many thanks, Alex
-
Brilliant stuff - I am loving mine just need to watch speed 😄. MPG on a long run I have been pleasantly surprised.
-
I'll post up my findings when it's received and then when I have time to install it.

Thanks for joining Anderson, Have you ever renewed discs and pads before, and on a car equipped with an electronic handbrake - which I take it yours has? If not, do not attempt it, but entrust the job to your trusted local garage (which just cost you substantially less than the main dealer quote). What brands of discs and pads are you considering? Kind regards, Gareth.
-
Who, at the dealership did you ask Jay? Incidentally it’s not a ‘Build list’ you are after, it’s a print out of the ‘Build Record’. Naughty boy! - to the back of the class, for not reading the question and answer properly. Kind regards, Gareth.
