Short loss of power under hard acceleration

Featured Replies

Hi guys, first post on here so very much a newbie. I currently have a facelift 2017 Audi S3 with around 4,000 miles on it. I’ve noticed recently that when I put my foot down in sport dynamic, the engine loses power for a second or so causing me to slight jolt forward and then it will accelerate normally. Also when accelerating from a Low gear through the gears in sport mode, agh gear change ‘jerks’ into the next gear. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Cheers Jack

Welcome to the forum Jack, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

My first advice would be to take it too Audi as it is still under warranty. They'll run a diagnostic check on your s3 and may give the gearbox a software update. It would be worth you going on a test drive in the car with a technician present so you can show him the issue.

I'm assuming there are no warning lights coming up on the dash when it happens.

Cheers

Steve
