Strange Juddering?

Featured Replies

Hi all, posted on here before with similar issue. 3.0 TDI Auto box.

Basically juddering when in gear all but not out of gear.

Had box oil changed, fuel filter. Had broken pipe feeding egr fixed.

Could still be an EGR Fault but doubt it, Ive been told It may have a dual mass even though its an Auto any ideas?

Thanks Ry

Hmm good question never tried it in the manual mode, but noticed yesterday juddering started when in park so at the moment that would point me towards the egr valve or something else. Diagnostis said there was a fuelling problem but didnt expect it to change between putting in gear or not. Will try getting egr blanking plate on this week and see if it clears it up.

I have to agree, it sounds like an engine issue. Did the garage say exactly where the fueling issue was?

The only problem with fitting an egr blanking plate is that you may fail the MOT. As of May the MOT will be making sure DPFs and EGRs work correctly as well as engine management lights must not be on.

Cheers

Steve
