Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, but I've found that there is a bunch of really helpful people on here.

I own an Audi A4 2012 and made about 52445 miles so far. I bought the car new and I've never had trouble with this car before.

Let's cut to the chase. Last week I was travelling from work to home when on motorway my car just stopped. Found major oil leak under the car.
It’s impossible to say exactly what happens. I can tell my beauty is in trouble.
I am waiting for the report from AA to find out what's damaged and what had happened.

Could someone suggest anything, perhaps there is anyone who had the same issue?

Please help.
Many thanks,
Will

Welcome to the forum Will, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

My first question is the car petrol or diesel?

And where did the AA recover you to, home or a garage?

The 2.0 litre suffers from rear main crankshaft seal failure as well as pcv valve failure and there was a recall for this. Here's a YouTube video with regard to pcv:

The pcv controls the oil pressure and when it fails it can cause an increase in pressure and thus oil leaks.

But as I say we need to know your engine to help further.

Cheers :)

Steve
