My oil light came on today for a top up in my Diesel SQ5. Looking at all the oil sites like Castrol they recommend 5W-30 oil but I called an audi garage and they said no don't use that it has to be 0W-30.

This makes me a bit nervous as to what is correct. I've tried calling 2 other audi garages but nobody seems to answer the phone so wondered what others use so I can get some tonight / tomorrow morning.

Hi Robert, I believe the correct oil is 5w 30 and this is what we used when I worked at volkswagen in their service department.
