After having my car in the garage for a week, they've discovered my car needs a new engine wiring loom, there was a leak from the coolant which corroded the wires. Have been told this is very unusual, yet Audi are refusing to pay anything towards the cost (£1,306). Our local Audi garage is  helping towards it thankfully but still expensive! Has anybody else had this problem with a wiring loom?

Hi Fiona. were you told what coolant had leaked?

There is a post on here regarding an A7 that developed a gearbox fault that was traced to a Coolant leak into wiring / connectors. Different model I concede but anything is worth a try. 

I will have a rummage and see if I can drag it out...
