Diesel Exhaust Noise

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Bit of a generic question here but didn't want to limit it to just the A7 section of the site incase anyone else can benefit.

So  my question is, I have an A7 3.0TDi 204ps. It's a lovely car but I love exhaust noise. I phoned a local exhaust shop and they told me that for a turbo diesel car it wont make a difference if you straight pipe the vehicle, it will still be quiet. They tried to sell me a KUFATEC sound booster but that was £1400! My question is is there anyway of straight piping or removing certain parts to make the car louder. I would like to keep the dpf.

Many Thanks,

Hi Raza, removing the silencers will make it slightly louder but I'd say you'd be better off with a stainless steel custom system to be honest.

Cheers

Steve
