Remove armrest phone cradle and replace with???

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I've just acquired an A5 cabriolet with an ancient looking something or other under the armrest which is no use for anyone. Does anyone know of a minor mod or something I can do with this space to make it useful? I have bluetooth but an iphone so no wireless charging yet.

Has anyone done anything like this?

I've seen someone do something similar here but it's not quite the same and not a very innovative solution:

Any pointers would be great!

Thank you!

Got exactly the same train of thought as you..... I've been playing with the idea of removing it and replacing it with some more 12v charge points but my ability doesn't amount to the same as my ambition sadly...

I have seen people using a ebay chargind pads to wire instead of the phone cradle

Hey,

Did anyone find a solution for how to get the cradle out?
