Spare wheel

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have bought a golf Mk5 space saver wheel to have a proper spare wheel for my Mk 2 TT. I know it fits as I’ve tried it, to make sure it clears the brake caliper .  The problem I have is that it doesn’t fit in the wheel well in the boot, can anyone recommend someone to  modify the boot space so it will fit in properly, I have to say I would want a proper job as I’m a bit fussy about my car . I live in Worcestershire.

Welcome to the forum Ian, sorry no one has got back to you sooner. Just out of curiosity what's stopping the wheel from fitting? Has it got a foam inner?

Cheers

Steve

That’s right. There is a  moulded foam insert that holds the jack and all the tools in the boot
