Bigger tyres

Featured Replies

Hi guys, we have 205 55 16 at the moment, has any one fitted 17" 235s to their A3? Any rubbing issues etc..

Thanks in advance

Hi Magnet, hoping to fit some 17" 235s wheels and tyres off an A4. what are your thoughts

Sorry, forgot the important bit lol, they're 45 profile 👍

Thanks Jon,

Now we need to do some maths relating to larger diameter wheels and lower profiles - thanks for that! I will get back to you.

Wider tyres and not fouling anything? Sorry cannot help on that.

I guess you are aware that you are going to lose some ride comfort in moving to a lower profile tyre. Are you happy to compromise that for some fancier looking wheels? I guess yes.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Thanks Gareth...we're just contemplating the change at the moment, your thoughts are welcome 👍

Well the A3 S-line wears 225/40/18s on lower springs, and isn't close to rubbing, so I would have thought so. Can you try them on first?

Good shout..It's possible I guess, I can ask the guy selling them.
