EddyT
Hello i have recently purchased my first ever Audi A4 estate 2006, lovely motor. The boot only opens when you hold down the boot unlock button on the key, you can’t open the boot manually by pressing the boot catch. Can anyone tell me please if this is normal for this car or is it faulty? Thanks in advance, Duane.
Steve Q
Sounds faulty but I'd suspect a loose wire as you can open it from the key. That would indicate to me that the catch itself is working abd would mean the handle mechanism to be at fault. Cheers Steve

Ok that’s great thanks, I am in the process of replacing my rear windscreen motor so while the boot panel is off I’ll have a look and see if anything looks out of place, not sure what I’m looking at though 😂😂 thanks again. Steve Q
Not too clued up on wiring but think they'll be two wires running from the handle to the catch. You're welcome, hope you get the issue sorted soon 😊 Cheers Steve
