Guest MaintenanceMan Posted April 17, 2020 Share Posted April 17, 2020 Hi all I鈥檓 new to the Audi world, I鈥檝e driven Golf GTIs for over 20 years, but have become very disappointed with their customer service etc, so thought I鈥檇 make a change to Audi! 聽 I鈥檝e bought an Audi S3, which is brilliant. I鈥檓 definitely and Audi convert now! But anyway, I鈥檝e a question regarding the battery cover.聽 聽 The battery terminals are exposed and the insulating jacket doesn鈥檛 cover the top as I鈥檇 expect it too. As well as that, there鈥檚 no plastic covers on the terminal posts, so potentially they could be shorted out.聽 聽 Am I correct in think the jacket should cover the battery completely? 聽 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Steve Q Posted April 17, 2020 Share Posted April 17, 2020 Welcome to the forum Jason, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 馃檪聽 I believe VAG stopped doing full battery covers for Audi S3 and Golf R after 2017. Clearly some cheeky cost cutting. I'd like to think a pre 2017 one would fit though.
