Convertible roof issues

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2004 a4 convertible recently I opened it and something in the back seat jammed it

The sensor stopped it has it should

I reset it manually has shown in the manual but when I open it now the roof starts moving then the body opens to let it in then the body starts to come down too soon then the sensors kick in and stops everything

Any advice would be greatly appreciated has I'm totally stumped

Tia

Welcome to the forum Jason, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂

I wouldn't normally direct our members to another forum but this thread is particularly usefull on Audi sport.net:

Sounds like your tonneau limit switch is engaging too soon (O/S cylinder) perhaps it became unseated when trapped?

Could also be an issue with potentiometer values if this has become disturbed.

You really need live data readouts and then proceed from there.
