I’m looking for a high level brake light for my 1999 A6 Avant.

Any help will be appreciated

Hello Jacques, 

If you don’t get any luck on here, it might be worth trying wanted Ads. in specialist press such as Modern Classics, Classic Car Weekly, Classic Car Buyer, Classic Car Mart etc. since the car could now be classed as a ‘modern classic’. 

Another avenue would be on-line breaker searches such as Partsfinder? (there are others), whereby you register your want, and it gets circulated to participating car breakers, who make contact with you if they have the part you want.

Thanks for your suggestions Gareth I will certain try them out and see where I get bit seems that it gets harder and harder to find parts for this car.

So glad to see you back in an Audi Jacques 🙂 how are you and your dad? Similar model a6 to mine. When I had a similar issue my garage managed to source a new one and for it for not a great amount of money.

Hi Steve, 

We are doing great thanks how are you doing? Yes it has been a long time since our last Audi and now we have two an A6 2.8 Quattro and a Q3 S-line Quattro 2 litre TFSI both great cars to work on. I went on 24/7 spares last night and I may of managed to acquire a new light all going well.
