Heater/Aircon Fans on high on engine start

Featured Replies

New here so please bear with me.

I start the engine and the aircon/fans come on practically on high for a while then calm down irrelevant of the set temprature or ac on or off. The ac also doesn't blast out cool air anymore although if you push the on/off button, it seems to change the fan speed.

Any pointer would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

There could be two faults here. The temperature of the air con could be caused by a failing air con pressure sensor. And look at the relay first for the fans but it could also be the blower valve unit sticking. My other advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up as that'll help diagnose the air con issue.

Cheers

Steve
