Audi A7 MMI Issues

Hello,

New to this forum and a new Audi owner bought a Audi A7 Yesterday with a MMI issue that the screen would only come on now and again, pulled it out this morning and the cables at the back weren't broken but the plastic outer cabling was broken, the bare wire were touching each other, I wrapped these in tape and now the MMI will come on.

The new issue when it comes on it will start to inialise then after around 10-15 seconds it will go black and fold away.

Radio, Phone, Nav don't work, they just display as inialising on the screen between the clocks.

Does anyone have any sugestions of what I could try or what may be causing this to happen?

Hello I am a new Audi owner and have a A6 40tfsi C8 Facelift Sport Saloon. The car has been everything I hoped it would be -quiet and smooth on the road with enough power to keep me happy in retired life. When I first received the car it had a quarter tank so when it reached only 30 miles of fuel left I filled it up to the brim but could only fill 53 Litres. Hi all, I’ve just got my hands on a 1992 2.6 v6 Audi 80 in good condition (considering price) and have done what most buyers do first and changed the oil. It was very murky and smelled strongly of petrol so I decided to flush. 4 times I flushed and drained each time after letting it run for around 10 minutes. Hi all On a bit of a road trip, have planned the route around type 2 charge points. I can use my own charge cable ok, but even though the last energy supplier took a holding deposit, the charge failed to initialise and the deposit returned. It has happened several times now and makes me think I have a setting wrong in the car. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. I had this message 4 months ago as well but simple turn off the engine and restart again solved the issues but the same issues has come back last week but this time with engine management light as well. It started the countdown to 650 miles and when it got to 550 miles some how it disappeared but came back after I did almost 300 miles. So countdown is down to 600 miles again at the moment. Hey I have a Audi A4 B8 and I want to change my steering wheel. I bought a new one online and it was suposed to work . Unfortunately It seems that the connectors are not the same and hence dont fit . From my knowledge and research the airbag code comes from a A1 . Some people told me that I just need to change the airbag not the whole wheel . Others told me i have to change both . Others told me that I might be able to rewire the harness . Could you give me some insight on this matter ? See imag

Although not required as yet, I'm thinking /looking ahead and wondering about servicing costs. Like all Audi dealers/dealerships it's best I guess to have your car serviced by Audi but I'm sure the price/s will not be as cheap as independents? (Yes they would have to use genuine parts). Does this forum show recommended companies i.e good garages that will be cheaper but carry out as good work as Audi. I look forward to guidance. Thank you.

Ok, after completing the gearbox swap and driving the car for a few months, things have started to fail. The speedo doesn't work, even after putting in a speedo pickup in the gearbox, sensor and repairing the wiring. The electric windows all stopped working. The central locking won't work. The airbag and abs light work as they please. My next step is to strip it and turn it into a track car. I know they are not known for being great on a track, but I will try anyway. Dear all. I have recently purchased a japanese Import 3.0 A6 Avant allroad. The MMI shows FM, AM and LW but no DAB. Is/was there an upgrade available from Audi or aftermarket when DAB became more commonplace.(Vauxhall offered DAB upgrade for my 2014 Zafira in 2015).

Hi, first time poster here, I’m trying to add a picture but I’m not sure now to. Before I start, I absolutely love this car, it’s my second and I was down at Audi every other week sitting in once before I was able to afford one. It is due to go back to Audi next month and I have a £13 000 payment to make if I want keep it. For a car of this quality and spec in this current market it is a bargain. HI All, Can you help? My faithful and reliable twenty year old A4 2.0 TDI has developed a few issues. Lack of power in cruise mode going up hills and major juddering when I am lead footed (not often, but when i need to get out of trouble) which causes the engine to vibrate and judder. The car has full Audi servicing for the first 16 years of its life and more recently local garages in the last fours years and has 126,000 miles on the clock. My 2.5 Tdi is suffering loss of power which I suspect is a faulty fuel transfer pump. An Audi Specialist gave ne a part number 8D0 906 087 AN which seems to be okay. Unfortunately the pumps on Ebay vary in outlet pressure from 0.5 -3.4 bar. Can anyone advise me on the correct pressure please?
