BONNET STRUTS FOR NEW A1

Featured Replies

New A1 ( 2019 ) does not have bonnet struts fitted as standard - is there an Audi retro fit kit or an after market kit available ?  Presumably drilling would be involved - but struts make bonnet lifting a lot easier and safer.

There are aftermarket kits. My brother fitted some to his car (non Audi) and work well.

Hi Steve - Any idea the name of the strut kit manufacturers / suppliers. Some years ago I fitted struts from an MG website to my MG ZR160 - no drilling required as the brackets used existing fixings, but can't see any suitable fixings / holes on my new Audi A1.

I believe it might have been an eBay supplier. Sure my brother paid around £25. But they're still working now
