Locked out Audi A5 in safe mode

Featured Replies

Hey guys I've a problem I'm locked out of an Audi a5 after battery died car has its gearbox taken out for repair. The lock won't budge manually at all have been spraying WD-40 in it for a few days now but no luck. When I first realized I was locked out done a stupid thing thinking I could Jack it up and give it power through the alternator plus wire...it did get power but it wouldn't unlock and alarm started going of thinking it was being robbed I think, but for some reason the booth lock unlocked somehow and now I'm able to get in the booth and can get to the battery. But now I've been told car is probably in safe mode and won't recognise the key anymore so central locking still doesn't work and can't get into the car...even if I connect good battery it just drains the battery and won't unlock at all anyone know is there something I could do from inside the booth?..
