218/245/272 bhp Allroad

Featured Replies

Hi there . How can I tell if a Allroad is 21/245/272 bhp ? Are there any visual clues ? Thanks

I cannot tell you about the visual clues.

However once you have homed in on your desired car, you will be able to tell from the V5.  There are various websites that will confirm the engine size for a small fee.

204 BHP   159 gm CO2

245 BHP   165 gm CO2

218 BHP    145 gm CO2

272 BHP    149 gm CO2

From the outside you would know my car is an SE, but you would not be able to tell what engine it had.

In my personal experience, no-one has ever knowingly falsely described the specification of their car.

Hope this helps ......

I did read of one A5 where a clerk somewhere had failed to register the car correctly. It was sold Approved Used as a quattro but only had 2-WD. Once this error was detected the dealer took the car back.

Look for the build spec label, it’s in the spare wheel well in my 2015 Allroad,

The codes you’re after start with ‘DD’ all below are for the V6 diesel variants.

I have the 218ps (160KW ) engine, so the code is DD5

Others I’ve found are:

DD1 - 221kw

DD3 - 230Kw

DD6 - 240 Kw

DD7 - 190 Kw

website is http://igorweb.org/equidec.aspx

another useful site is:

Hope this helps.
