Audi A6 C7 What's the best OBD diagnostics machine

Featured Replies

Hi guys, what's the best diagnosis machine for Audis under £200?

I use the ODBEleven. It's been amazing. Saved me thousands. Literally! And you can do some simple recoding.

Hi I can agree with Thomas about OBD ELEVEN as the alternatives are somewhat more expensive unless you have a computer whiz in the family who can get a cracked version of VCDS off of the internet with a cheap Hex cable off of eBay.

Hi I am pretty sure they do it on eBay and a multitude of other internet sites, I have used my friends OBD Eleven its good but I have VCDSso there is no point in buying it especially after the year I just had, taxi driver.

Thanks Steve was thinking about Ebay, i recently changed the air struts on mine purchased off Ebay, Audi specialist wanted £1000, got bags off ebay for £148 and local garage to fit for £180 which as you can see is a massive saving, i dread to think how much a main dealer would of wanted, champagne car on lemonade money :0(

What issues have you had with yours?

Hi so far, one humidity sensor under mirror Brand new from Audi £165.00, bought on eBay £65.00, air quality sensor I cleaned in alcohol and has been working fine ever since, headlight range control module, again cleaned contacts with alcohol works perfectly, one oxygen sensor which failed at 80k Audi wanted £190.00 for it so I bought the same sensor, again from eBay, genuine Bosch same O.E. for £69.00.

The car has been brilliant, I use it as a cab so it has a hard life so the rest of it has been brakes and service items. BTW there are some amazing deals on Bosch filters on eBay so I have had a bit of a blitz on it as I have to service the car soon, Bosch air filter £13.00, Bosch oil filter £9.00, if you have your part numbers for your vehicle you can save a fortune on good quality parts.

The OBD11 solved a problem that Audi Dealership in Glasgow spent ages NOT solving, but billing the vendor garage under warranty regardless.

It was the all lights on, ABS failure, all adaptive systems failure - I've posted about it before, but thousands were billed (not to me thankfully) and in the end the OBD found it to be corrosion in the GPS fin. It also solved my adaptive suspension fault - sensor off eBay £80, and fitted it myself.

Worth its weight in Bitcoin.
