Retrofitting a steering wheel

2017 Q7 came with every option except a heated steering wheel so I bought one plus new stalk and wire that runs to the fuse box.

Anyone done this and knows how to recode all?

Thanks

Think you'll need a retrofitter to code it for you.

"The Q7 can definitely have a heated steering wheel retrofit. Takes a slip ring/column switch assembly, wiring, steering wheel and coding work".

here's the link for the thread the above info cane out of:

This also might help:

"did this retrofit last year to my Q7; got the steering wheel and stalks from eBay. Got some help from the A4 B9 forum, as the steering wheel and coding is mostly the same as in ours". Here's an account of my experience: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-.../#post25288253

Yes I posted to one of those last year and read the others but still need coding to reset the new stalk etc.

Who are the "retrofitters" and how do I find one near Carson City NV.

Audi retrofitters carry out upgrades to audis with standard parts. For example fitting heated seats to a non heated seat fitted Audi, fitting Bose sound system if it wasnt already fitted etc. Just Google Audi retrofitters in Nevada.

Thanks, no such shop in Nevada. WE have repair shops but none that do retrofitting.

That's a pain. I've just had a look but not found anything. I think your next best bet is a German car specialist or Audi specialist
