35 or40 TFSI

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just joined and already have a question....Sorry

I can't decide on which one to buy between 2 A4s I have seen.

1. 35TFSI

2. 40TFSI

I know there is a difference in power 150ps/190ps Is there a noticeable difference when driving?

The price difference is around £500. Both same year/spec/mileage etc

Would it be worth getting the 150ps remapped?

Many thenaks for any help.

Steve

You'll feel more response from.the 40. I'm surprised they're priced similarly when there's a different engine. Is it the same spec.

Yes you could get it remapped but this will be around £300. Might be worth going for the 40 if price is so close as apposed to going for a less powerful car to remap it. Plus remapping it, you'll have to notify your insurance company as it's classes as a modification. And it'll be harder to sell on to people who want a standard car. These are things for thought

Thank you Steve.

Yes spec is exactly the same. Iunderstand what you are saying about remapping and insurance.

Think I'll aim for the 40 as I did wonder about keeping things as standard. I'm not one for doing things like remapping usually.

Steve.
