Audi A6 (C7) Gearbox Oil Change

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently bought a second hand A6 (2.0TDI Quattro / S-tronic - 49,000 miles / 67 plate) and the only major thing missing on the servicing is the gearbox oil change at 38,000 miles.

Two local Audi garages quoted me £283.29 all in... Oil+Filter+Labour+VAT etc but a third Audi garage has quoted me £173.15 for the same!

When something is too good to be true... any thoughts please?

A friend who is a car dealer seems to think this Audi model as two gearboxes that each hold 5 and 7 litres and perhaps they've just quoted me for the main gearbox...

Thanks

Jon

Well there is more than one type of automatic gearbox on the C7 A6 from what I have gathered.

i had my local Audi specialist service my 2015 A6 Ultra 2.0 TDI 190 S tronic gearbox for £180 all in while another wanted £230. It was only 3.5 litres of oil and no filter and as yours is also a similar setup (both facelift) I would imagine it would have that set up.

Hopefully the ones who did the cheaper quote gave you that price as they knew exactly what gearbox you have in there and know it isn’t a huge amount of oil to change.. mine was done within the hour
