B7 2.0Tdi Not making boost

Featured Replies

This is what happend, i was in town shopping car suddenly went limp mode when i was about to head home and the car lost all power. had about 40 miles to get home, so i limped it half way by turning it off and on (boost was back, but went limp mode again) Turned it off and on probably 20 times on the 20 miles i did. Then after that turning the car on and wouldnt restore the boost. So drove it home rest of the way without any boost at all.

My first though was that the turbo was gone, as there had been a small whine sound when accelerating. Just took both sides off on the turbo to see if there was any damage to the turbine, cant see any at all and they both spin when car is running.
I dont have access to vagcom i have only got a cheap and nasty diagnostic tool. Anyone had same problem or might have an idea what the issue could be? Ive also listened around too see if i can hear any boost leaks, but none found.
