Hi,

I wonder if anyone could advise me regarding the attached video?

I'm extremely new here and would like some advice. My Audi A6 2.7TDi has developed a loud ticking on and off during idle, the video shows two items simultaneously activating on and off continuously. I think these are the control unit for the turbo, and the other perhaps related to the exhaust gas recirculation sensor?

This noise / action continues for a short time after the ignition is turned off.

If anyone has any ideas on what is possibly causing this, I would be grateful for your input.

I'd definitely recommend a diagnostic check. But a common issue on this engine is with swirl flaps:
