Audi ttrs Bevel box

Featured Replies

Hi. My wife’s 2009 TTRS 62000 mls decided it didn’t want to go forwards or backwards anymore then a foot or so.  Manual Gearbox fine. Clutch feels fine.  Brakes not stuck on and the car rolls freely,

we had it into our local dealership today and they’ve sent us a video showing a cracked bevel box.  Never heard of anything like that before.   Is this common?

audi are quoting £3.5 k.

I managed to get a 35k miles one for £1200.  Getting it fitted on Tuesday for £400 at VRS Northampton.  Very helpful and knowledgeable local tuning company, let’s hope the box is good.

Cheers.  All done.
£1200 second hand box

got it fitted.  Also got VRS Northampton to do a haldex service.  Engine oil and filter service, rear dif oil and seals, as well as realignment of the engine as it mustn’t have been put back in place properly ( maybe the cause of the box failure ) after having a clutch fitted by a previous owner

can’t fault them

£1071:00

The wife says it’s driving great now
