Oil change

Featured Replies

Hi folks this is gonna sound really stupid bit of a head scratcher for me, I've just done an oil/filter change on my a3 2.0 tdi. Which I believe takes 4.5l drained it completely put everything back together put 4 litres on in an dipped it an it was reading way above max right up to the little ball a few inches above the measure part, so left it over night an it's still saying the same this morning🤔 thoughts anyone?

I had the car jacked up on axle stands when it was done will that have anything to do with it? Just thinking some of the oil may have been stuck with the engine being at an angle?
