Stuck Drivers Window - S4 B7 Cabrio

Featured Replies

Afternoon,

I put the drivers side main window down this morning and it won't come back up.

The switch still seems to operate all of the other windows in the car, apart from the drivers side

The electric mirrors and door lock controls all still work.

The drivers window will from time to time move a bit when you activate the switch, but i can't get it to come all the way up

I also cannot hear the 'click' when i pull up the switch for that window.

I will take the switch out later and clean the electrical contacts, but any other advice appreciated.

Many thanks

It could be the window regulator has got stuck.

yes very possible

I've just been watching the Total Technik video on door card removal and window repair so i'm going to have a go myself.

Just need to order some trim clips as i am an expert at breaking those!
