Unit change issues

Featured Replies

Hi there. My Audi lost all audio output and a new unit was recommended. I purchased one with exact same part number but when fitted only half the speakers work and on radio it cuts out for a second every few seconds (doesn’t do this on phone, satnav, cd etc). Does it need to be programmed at Audi or should it just plug and play please? Thanks for any help you can offer. Car is 2013 A5 Quattro and replaced part number is 4g0035056g

Hi it is more than likely a coding issue, was the new unit second hand? if not it will still need coding.

Hi not necessarily if you can find a kind soul in your area that has VCDS, try any independent VAG specialists as they may well be able to help you out and it will be a lot cheaper than Audi who charge an eyewaterinw amount just to inspect it.

Steve.
