Hot weather dash loses power followed by engine

Featured Replies

Wondered if anyone has any ideas. 2008 2.0 sline A3. 210000 miles. In very hot weather the dash & Aircon/blowers lose power soon after ignition when driving and that is sometimes followed by the engine cutting out whilst driving. Left for 10 mins it's ok to start again and the dash will lose power again but after the first engine cut out or 2 the engine doesn't cut out again. Thanks

Hi you will have to get the car scanned for faults, there is no magic way of guessing what your problem is without P codes.

Steve.

I recall a similar topic here within the last couple of years if you care to look through forum history. I have a feeling it was related to a faulty instrument cluster but have no certainty of that. Other than that, get the car scanned with a decent professional grade reader.
