Newbie with 2007 A4 3.0tdi Quattro 307,000 miles

Featured Replies

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Steve and a long time petrolhead. Having owned a variety of interesting cars over the years!

My latest project is a 2007 A4 3.0 TDI Quattro Auto, it has done 307,000 miles from new with lots of history.

It was gifted to me by a good friend who had done 100,000 miles in her.

So a free car! What's wrong? Will not much so far. Needs good clean, wheel refurbishment, MOT runs out on 6 weeks, needs a oil service.

Main issue is it going into limp mode, have been told it's the turbo actuator. So that needs investigation. Not read any codes yet.

Drives well considering the mileage and it's purchase cost!

Looking forward to keeping you posted with updates!

Cheers Steve

Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 great to see another 300k+ car on here. My A6 has done 341k with my dad and I as the only owners. Going to Germany next month in it! I find there's always some preventative maintenance required once you hit such high mileage.
