Press clutch to start issue 2.0tdi

Featured Replies

Yet another strange issue with my car a 2013 manual 2.0tdi . It has failed to start about 6 times over the last couple of years. Each time the weather has been hot and the car had just been used in the last couple of hours.

"Press clutch to start" displayed and I'm obviously pressing the clutch.

I had the clutch switch under the pedal changed last week, but it's happened again today.

Any ideas?

HI have the car scanned for codes this may well tell you whats going wrong. When you say the pedal switch was changed I think you will find the switch is part of the master cylinder which normally throws up the statement clutch position sensor implausible signal on the diagnostics.
