2012 Q3 Sat Nav Options

Featured Replies

Hello all,

First time here and I'll apologise now for asking a question that has come up a lot, but I just need to try and understand something. I have an Audi Q3 2012. Sat Nav hasn't been enabled but Audi are happy to charge me £459 to do it. I don't mind paying for it but what I'm trying to understand is if I need to at all? I'm waiting on an AMI to USB-C cable arriving later today which I'm hoping will let me use Android Auto. I've tried one already and saw "AMI not supported" on my infotainment display - but on further investigation, it appears I may need to clear the cache on my phone (Samsung Ultra 21) to fix that issue. I'm just trying to understand if anyone uses Android Auto on a 2012 Audi and via cable or if anyone knows a way I can either upgrade the firmware to allow Android Auto or install something on the head unit that will allow Android Auto.

Thanks in advance for any help and assistance.
