Car feels different after gearbox service

Featured Replies

Hi all

I don't know if it's just me but I had the zf gearbox serviced first time and now it feels different when reversing. It sounds like it's vibrating but you can't actually feel a vibration.

Does this sound like a problem? Should I get it checked out?

Thanks

Hello Jo,

On one will know your car better than yourself, so if you think you are detecting something adversely different straight after you have had a gearbox oil and filter change, then there must be something wrong.
If this were mine, I would be returning the car, demonstrating the reason for your concern, and asking them to rectify the problem.
If you don’t have a satisfactory outcome quickly, then I would suggest finding another specialist and address your concerns with them.
Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
