Key fob battery

Featured Replies

Hi. Warning light for battery in key fob is flashing! Can I just change it for a new one or do I need an Audi garage to reset anything? RS Q3 Sportback 2020

You can change it yourself - you can google to find out how to - I suspect your key fob has the "key" hidden inside, in which case you pinch the tabs at the silver end to pull the key element out and then pinch the black lugs to pull out the battery holder - CR2032 should be the battery type (buy a pack for future emergencies and keep it in your glove box)

Hello Trevor,

As Richard describes, but the procedure should be clearly outlined in your owner’s handbook - have you looked there?
The only other comments I would make is that 2 years service life seems rather short, but it would have been a good policy change anyway.
I wouldn’t opt for Poundland best!
Kind regards,

Gareth.
